I wear custom orthotics for over-pronation and need for arch support. My foot doc and I tried about 10 different brands/styles before landing on this. (I wear Brooks for running, Keen for hiking). Bought it in 3 colors and was back to stock up again but all they have is white. FYI unlike running and hiking shoes, these fit like a glove, hugging your whole foot and are snug as you slide them on. Once you are used to that feel, they are excellent on court, because you don't have room to slide around when running forward or making a quick lateral move. I move more confidently on the court; great traction, no blisters. They breathe well and feel light. Worked right out of the box. Have not had heel slip issues once I used a 'lock lacing' technique with the extra holes at top. Look forward to some new colors and hopefully they won't change the fit with the next version.

After 4 years I had to replace my old Adidas shoes for tennis. I've always loved New Balance and decided to give them a shot! I can't say enough about them. I am loving these shoes. They are light weight but give me the stability I need on the tennis court. Additionally, there is plenty of room in the toe box, which I think is one of the things New Balance is known for. And the color is great, too. White with just a touch of a light gray pattern on the back of the shoe. So pretty and goes with everything. Love, love, love my new shoes! Highly recommend these babies!

Zappos is GREAT but these shoes are not. These shoes are so painful and fit so awkwardly. They seem to work for a foot that is formed inward from the heel to the toe, at about a 30 degree angle. The front part of my foot went way to the right side on the right shoe and the left side on the left shoe, so that my big toe was placed in the middle of the forefront of the shoe. I can't imagine trying to play tennis in these, if I couldn't walk in them. Very disappointed. New Balance used to have more cushion, and wider lasts on the fore part of the foot. Not anymore.

Due to roomy high toe box, I could go down 1/2 size from my usual NB size. Shoe does have otherwise bit more snug feeling fit because is for tennis. I don't think this snugger fit warrants a size adjustment for the wearer however. Ample support and cushioning. A very nice looking shoe, for an almost all white shoe! I am having to return because the extra stability layer that covers the outer shoe by the big toe won't relax and let my bunion be comfortable. So I'm going to check out NB work-out shoes. Its only New Balance because when you find the right ones--you get a perfect Wide fit and I have quit trying all other brands.

My heel kept slipping out of the shoe. I do wear orthotics, but have been wearing New Balance for years, and never had my heel slip out of shoe like with this model. I liked the model 996v3, but they are no longer available..disappointed. Zappos of course is great, it is the change in the style of the she that led to my return.

This is my 3rd attempt to get comfortable court shoe and finally successful! I tried this pair a size smaller (my usual size) and they did not work! You need to order up in this style. I wore them this week and for the first time had no foot discomfort or foot fatigue after my tennis time!

The shoe is a bit short and a bit tight for a wide. I am able to make them work as I have already worn them but wish I had ordered half a size up. I do like the look and performance on the court.

Shoes arrived in a plastic envelope so box was damaged and smashed. The knitting on top of the shoes was uneven -- one shoe showed more of the green color than the other shoe.

I have been looking for a shoe with this support and comfort for 3 years. I went to buy a backup and they are already sold out. I will keep looking!!!

Heavy and clunky. Would be difficult to run around a court. They're going back.

sadly this shoe just did not work at all for me. it is narrow and my foot is not....it was pretty stiff......and put pressure on my foot in all the wrong places. I will continue to look for a court shoe that is light and flexible with good support
