Customer Reviews Lilly Pulitzer Mckinley Maxi Dress

First of all, I love Lilly Pulitzer clothing and wear it all summer long and as much as I can into other seasons here in the Midwest. I wanted to love this dress. I fell for the print immediately and had to order it. I loved that it had more bust coverage than some of their other maxis. Once I put it on, I was extremely indecisive. First of all, it is incredibly long- even for Lilly standards. Being 5'4", I always have to hem things, especially lilly maxis, but even tall girls are giving it the review of being way too long, except for maybe someone 6' tall. Hemming isn't an issue, but with this particular print, it will cut off a majority of the beautiful border. Secondly, while comfortable in a cotton knit, the print didn't look as elegant on me, as it did in the pics. Third, I think a woman with a smaller bust line would wear this dress better than me with a 36DD bust, even though it provides very good coverage. Between the cotton and the size of my bust in this print, I couldn't keep it, at this price point. I just couldn't wear it as well as it looked in the picture. It went back. Very disappointed.

This is my new favorite maxi dress! Runs very true to size and is top Lilly Pulitzer quality-soft, stunning, and beautifully unique. I will say that at 5'5" I will need to hem it 2-3 inches even to wear high heels, but it is worth it for the show-stopper that this dress is!

Way to long...meant for 5’11” plus

Meant for tall women. Fit perfectly through the bust and waist. However, I'm 5'5" and this dress is super long. I would have had to take off approximately 5 - 7 inches which would have messed up the pattern (plus the added cost). Bummer because the fabric and pattern are wonderful.
