This is a very lightweight parka that is lightly insulated. It has a very classic look and is great for travel. It's best for those cold and wet fall/spring days in the midwest. I do not consider this a true winter jacket (for Chicago) and would not reach for it if the weather was below 40F. I am 5'3'' and 125 lb, size 2/4 and bought the small. There is room for layering without looking too bulky. I love the length of the jacket and the snap buttons instead of velcro.

This parka is more yellow in person rather than brownish. Has an oversized boxy fit. The quality is great and I love the interior pocket as a woman. I just wish this was a less loud fabric so I could wear it to the office and in casual situations. It swishes and crinkles with every movement.

I love this jacket it is so warm! I purchased it a second time when the first one was misplaced. This is the perfect jacket for cold winters!

This was a pretty cute outdoorsy jacket for my 16 year old daughter. She liked it and it looked good on her. We especially liked the inside waist elastic where you can cinch it so that it is more flattering at the waist. However, the jacket is pretty lightweight feeling and we need it for skiing especially when it gets into single digits. We didn't test this one out, but we decided to go with a down North Face jacket that is designed for more extreme conditions. We are returning this but it might be good for winter if you don't live in a very cold climate or for fall or spring camping.

I originally ordered a Lg because most North Face "Standard Fit" items only fit me in large. But I had to send it back and get a Medium b/c it was too big! I am 115 lbs, 5'6" (definitely NOT athletic). The coat is lightweight and has enough insulation to just wear a sweater under it, although a sweatshirt will fit fine. It's really perfect for AZ, unless the weather tanks - which is not that often.

I searched everywhere for an XL parka. LL Bean winter parkas were too tight across the chest. Landsend parkas were bulky and uncomfortable. This North Face parka is perfect. slimming and not bulky. fits perfectly.

Very comfortable. More of a relaxed fit compared to other North Face jackets I have owned. No need to size up! Seems very warm but maybe not the top notch of warmth compared, as well. Super cute and very stylish! Longer - covers your bottom very well. It can be dressed up or down!

Stylish casual jacket. Light but warm. I usually wear a Large but this one I had to exchange for a medium. Perfect fit. Even have room for a hoodie. Love this jacket

I'm 5'6", 155lbs-ordered large. Had enough room for bulky sweaterdebating about sizing up for extra roominess in shoulder area as I usually prefer a super loose fit.
