Like someone else has mentioned, there's little to no arch support. I feel like I'm walking more on the outsides of my feet. I've worn nothing but Keen's for several years, ever since i started suffering from heel pain. I'm not a fan of the "hiking boots look" either, so I decided to give these a shot, since my favorites have been discontinued and these claimed to be waterproof. I wore them to work (I'm a mail carrier), and we had torrential rain that day. My feet stayed dry and comfy. Also, my feet weren't too sore that night. I noticed when I put them on the next day, there was some rubbing going on that I didn't notice the day before, around my ankle where the top eyelet sits. I also would have appreciated some more cushioning... nothing that some wool socks wouldn't fix I suppose. Overall, they'll do nicely. I bought them for winter work, so between the dry feet and the great tread, they'll be worn regularly.

I usually wear an 8 1/2 in Keen Targhees and did the same for the Steens. The box description did not say Steens. Fits perfectly. Nice roomy toe box. Leather a little stiff but I think that is due to the waterproofing.

These fit very strangely. They are "comfortable" in so far as the width and length fit as expected; however, they have a very strange arch support that overly supports the outside of my foot forcing my ankle to roll toward the inside. It is incredibly uncomfortable and these are going back. Very strange, I've never had this experience with Keens before.

I would love to rate these a 5. To me, they are the perfect outdoor shoe, they fit better than any other shoes I have worn. However, I am disappointed in the durability of this shoe. I have done a few hikes, but mostly these are my shoes to wear doing outside chores or grocery shopping. I haven't worn them every day by any means. I have had them for a year, and at about 9 month, they started "ungluing" on both shoes. I could see this maybe if I was really hard on these, but I would expect them to last longer than this with the wear I've given them, so overall I have to give them a 3, though maybe 2.5 would be more accurate. They aren't cheap to last for only 9 months.

I love Keens and these are no exception. I like how the top material is vented so feet won’t get too hot. These are not waterproof so of course your feet will get wet if walking through puddles or in heavy rain. I normally take my regular size 9 1/2 in Keens but I feel I could have used 1/2 size up in these and been more comfortable. I love the generous toe box and toe guard rubber. These work great for dog walking.

Very comfortable shoes. Custom Orthodics fit well in the shoes. This is my 3rd pair of Keens, I love them to travel with and to wear in all sorts of climates, esp rain as they are water proof and have good gripping treads.

I take a standard size 9- medium width. These are my first pair of KEENs so initally they felt a little "clunky". Now that I have worn them around the house for the day I have decided that I really like the fit. Generous toe box- I can wiggle my toes! An added bonus for me is that I can slip my orthotic insoles into the shoe without compromising the fit. This shoe is stylish and supportive, great colors too. I am very happy with this purchase. Thanks Zappos for letting me know when they came back into stock. :)

These are great - I have a lot of issues with shoes that are too tight in the toe box. This is roomy without being overly big. Want to buy another pair!

These were super-stiff, which I think is what is needed for hiking in rugged terrain. Myself, I'm an urban walker, so I need more padding than protection. Nice shoes, great style.

For my foot the Keen just wasn't as comfortable as the Altra. Great colors, extremely fashionable, just not for me.

I returned these, because I need a bit more support. Changing out the foot bed might have worked. I have a pair of Oboz that are very "substantial" in how they feel constructed, the Keen didn't feel quite as sturdy. But that does make them more light weight, which could be a plus. They are very cute, and may work nicely for someone! Just not what I need currently.

I really love this shoe, however, this time the materials in the heel of the left shoe broke apart and caused a blister. I now have to replace them. I would expect the shoe would be more durable with what they cost. I should not have to replace them so soon.

I really like these shoes a lot. I am returning this pair because there is some type of imperfection in one shoe that is rubbing against the top of my foot and I’m not fond of the hot pink blaze across the toe. I’m getting the exact same pair in a different color. Very very comfortable besides that weird sewing problem.

Just not up to Keen standards in my opinion.

Great fit, comfortable from the first wear, plus my orthotics fit well in them a big plus for me.

Keen is now a 4 instead of the 5 they were a few years back, on a scale of 1-5. But 4 isn't bad. I like them a lot as opposed to loving my old pair that is long gone.

There were 2 left shoes in the box!

I bought these shoes because they were suppose to be waterproof! They are not! The 1st few days they were fine. I walked my dog in very wet and soggy conditions and my feet stayed dry. On the 5th day, same conditions as previous days, water began seeping through the sides and the top. My socks were soaking wet when I got home. I am returning them.

NOT waterproof! We've been getting a lot of rain lately. I bought these because they were suppose to be WATERPROOF! The 1st 4 days they were great! Walked in wet grass, a few puddles and my feet stayed dry. Today while walking in wet grass, the water started seeping in through the sides and the top. When I got home, my socks were soaking wet. I am returning them!
