I got a pair of these quite a few months ago and have worn them a lot. I'm a dog walker. We walk in wet, grassy fields, rocky trails, muddy trails, sandy shorelines, rocky shorelines, grassy slopes and we do concrete and asphalt too. We do some occasional bushwhacking and we do upward and downward, off-trail slopes, so the shoes have been put to many tests and never have let me down. I never have worn them in snowy conditions. Through it all, I've never had one leak- not even those pesky ghost leaks. I never have to tighten the laces mid-walk . No toes cramming into the toe box walking down steep slopes. They're just good on varied terrain, the tread always holds ... except once on a muddy embankment, but nothing holds on downhill mud. I have the Black Suede version. At a distance they look like nondescript 60s combat boots, but the design is complex. There is a lot going on with these shoes, but there's no fluff, or unnecessary adornment. Every layer, every stitch is there for a reason and the many materials were chosen for definite purposes that speak to function, performance and comfort ... except for some odd, little fuzzy patches ... I am not at all sure what those are doing there? But they have endeared themselves. My favorite part of these shoes is the comfort factor. They fit like gloves. Around the house, it's like putting on cat's paws. You really have to try to make noise with them-totally silent step. Which is a good thing, because I'm not supposed to wear boots around the house. But so comfortable. The step is nice and spongey (good shock absorption) but the footbed and shank never telegraph the feel of smaller rocks etc to the bottoms of my feet like other soft bottom shoes I've worn. They're easy going, but plenty steady without turning your ankles. I like them so much that I got a pair of the Garrison Trail Sandals as well. Same good features- the sandals are very similar in many, many good ways. Comfort and soft ruggedness.

How do I justify buying another pair of Timberland boots when I live in Florida and it's 90 plus degrees and already have a similar shade? When they are TRIMMED IN PINK & ON SALE, that's how! Theses junior sized grey with pink trim boots are too cute! Usually I wear a ladies size 7, but found the junior size 5.5 fits well and saved some $$. The only problem I have with these boots is I wish I could wear them now-but sadly must wait til fall/winter. . .
