Right out of the box comfortable and I experienced no break in period. Great stability and very form fitting, maybe a little too snug. Water proofing kept me dry but they do not breath because of it, making things overheated at times. I work in/out doors in a physical situation, all types of terrain and average 6.5 miles in my work day, I do a combined additional 2 miles before and after work. I'm a one pair of shoes kind of guy so they get used constantly. With all that said these shoes are exactly 3 months old. They are almost completely smooth along the bottom, zero tread left. They are still just as comfortable as always and everything from the bottom up is still intact and in great condition. These shoes are so close in my opinion to being completely badss mofos. I will buy another pair because it was an awesome 3 months. I know what's up Timberland, you got me haha gotta make them wear out maybe faster than they should but good enough I'll buy again.

I do not regret buying this shoe at all! If you are considering them, do it. I don't typically leave reviews on material items like this but i just felt like I had to for these boots. I was going to Alaska 2 weeks ago and knew i would be going on hikes and trails and did not have a shoe i trusted in cold and wet environments to keep my feet dry and warm while maintaining good grip and stability. These did exactly that and REQUIRED NO BREAK IN PERIOD. They are comfortable out the box! Fit true, comfortable and stylish (if that matters; wore on hikes as well as around town before/after traveling). I bought these the morning of traveling and started wearing them the next day. over the next 7 days, i wore them constantly, abusing them in the environment. Multiple times i had water running over the top of my shoes while crossing streams or in rain and not once did my feet or socks get wet. Fabric never felt like it would tear, sole never appeared to break loose, etc. Good, quality product through in through; honestly left me a bit stunned. I would most definitely buy this shoe again if i was in the same situation.

Very comfortable! Tons of cushioning... You have to wear a good pair of hiking socks because the tall part of boot can rub on the inside ankle. I took these on a ten mile hike at Glacier National and they were perfect! Can't speak to the water proofing since I didn't get to test that.

Needed new shoes for a backpacking trip and found these. Good price. Good quality, thus far. Backpacked 45 miles in them with 40 lbs of gear. Super comfy. Definitely water proof, but got water in them (leg submerged underwater) and the right shoe began to squeak when walking. Didn't do it as much once dried. Only complaint is the squeak and the fact that they say "trail" on them. The shoe is very stylish for a hiking boot, didn't need to add the large "trail" print.

My son wears them all the time since he received them. He states that they are super lightweight and so comfortable that he can hardly tell he has them on.

I can't stop talking about the hiking boots and how they do the job well done. I did a 6 mile hike and these boots did the job well done. The grip is just amazing and the ankle support on these boots feel great. I'm now ordering another pair for my son!

I didn't know I needed Timberland boots until I got a pair of these. I live in the suburbs but usually go hiking and camping frequently so I needed a good hiking boot that is good for off trails and around town. These boots fit the bill perfectly. Not only are they super comfortable but they also look slim and very modern. I ordered the black ones because I work at the airport and my coworkers can't stop staring at them and telling me how good they look. I would definitely buy these again and again.

Keeps my feet dry when walking in grass with heavy dew. They are light and feel like I'm walking on marshmallows. Feet don't hurt or feel tired after wearing them fo 10 hours.
