The shoe is too narrow for me. It hurts my pinky toes and the area that's sewed on top causes me discomfort when my toes bend.

These are super comfortable and I really like the look, but I've bought two pairs and both developed holes near the pinky toe within a few months of light use. I really wish they were more durable.

The shoe is so narrow that my toes barely fit in the shoe. I am not sure if the pair I received were made wrong, but I am so disappointed they don't come in a wide, which I do not ever wear but would have tried.

They're very mushy very light, but for being a size 10 they're a little snug for a size 10 in women's vans. I was a little disappointed, how narrow they are.

I love the look of these shoes however once I put them on I couldn't stand it. They are very light and are mesh along the sides basically no structure. My main complaint is the toe box is covered in rubber, which is hard to notice in the online photos, but feels super weird and makes a rubber sound when your foot bends with each step. If the toe box was covered in the mesh that the rest of the shoe is made with I would've kept them.

I got these shoes on the recommendation of a friend who wore them on a two week trip to Australia and New Zealand that involved a lot of hiking and walking. I absolutely love the look of these shoes, and for all black shoes, they're actually pretty easy to clean and keep looking nice. Once they broke in after a few days, they were probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I could wear them all day and forget I had them on. Thats why I was so disappointed after just 2 months of regular use, that the sole started coming off and a hole in the mesh formed on the front right area of the right shoe. Because of how well made the shoes seem, I honestly thought, and still think, that it could just be a defective shoe, and that 99% of these shoes probably don't have this issue. But as I found out when I went to the Van's store where I picked these up and said "hey, these probably shouldn't fall apart after 2 months", Van's has no quality guarantee of any sort, so I can't find out if my shoe is just a fluke without buying another pair for full price. Now after 4 months of regular use (because these are still my primary shoes) the mesh on the left side of the right shoe has completely blown out, and the left shoe is still completely fine. I will also say, in more minor gripes, that the laces have gotten very fuzzy, and despite my best efforts, I've never gotten the finger loops on the heels and tongues to unflatten from being squished in the packaging. The shoes have also gotten a bit less comfortable as I've continued wearing them. Over all, I really want to just love these shoes, but without being able to get a replacement for what I still think is just a faulty shoe, I can only say that buying these is a gamble.

Purchased these after loving my original ultra ranges. These run smaller and the soles were pulling away from the toes when I received them.

This shoe is extremely uncomfortable compared to Vans other products. It cuts the ankle frequently and would be better if there was a cushioned tongue. Wouldn't recommend anyone to buy this, if they plan on being active. I read the reviews on this and should've listened.

However, these shoes aren't tight at all and somehow they still rub blisters on my heels. Otherwise, super cute!

I have had these shoes since April. I use them 2-3 days a week for work where I am mainly inside occasionally walking outside, I haven't walked in them for any trips and they are already falling apart. They have small holes, the shoe on the sides are starting to pull apart from sole and the bottom rubber is starting to peel. Really disappointing. I take very good care of my shoes but these are just falling apart.

Because the sizes were listed in men’s and women’s, I thought they might be wide enough for my feet. Nope.

I've been buying 1-2 pairs of ultra-ranges since the model line first came out. Went to buy my yearly pair recently, but the EXO's were my only option. After trying them on and walking around in them, they are a SERIOUS downgrade from the previous Rapidwelds. The toe now has a stiff fabric over the top, making it dig into your toes when you walk. The tongue is just a cheap, thin piece of a plastic-like fabric. Glue is also visible on most parts of the shoe, yet they're more expensive than the rapidwelds. Just buy the rapidwelds online while they're still available. If anyone at Vans actually reads this: please go back to the rapidweld-type style and quality.

The toe box has been redesigned with a rubber coating that unfortunately for me, makes incredibly undesirable noises when walking. Almost like a popping sound. The rear ankle support portion is also different from the previous version which was purchased 10 months ago and it hits different and caused a decent blister the first few times I've worn them. Not sure why the desire to change from the previous designs but for me, it doesn't work

I bought these to replace the same exact shoe style I had, but they did not fit the same. The toe box was too narrow and the soles actually measured more narrow than my older shoes. I ended up giving these shoes, along with another pair of Vans, away to a friend who happens to have narrow feet.

I love the shoes but they are too big. I read about exchanging but the process seems too complicated so I won't be returning them for a smaller size

These run small and are narrow in the tow box. Not a comfortable shoe despite the look.

I just bought a pair of these. I own many pairs of vans. The right and left shoes are different. In the top of the ankle on the right shoe, there was a sharp pard object that dug into the back of my ankle. I cut it off with scissors which messed up the fabric in the back. It still hasn't fixed the problem, so I'm planning to cut some more off. I think it is related to how the loop in the back of the ankle is sewed into the shoe. The left shoe is fine. My right ankle had an open sore for about 4 days after wearing the shoes for the first time, which was before I cut off that spot. I have several pairs of slip ons that have no issues, but every pair of lace ups I've gotten from vans has problems. I have also had two pairs of the evidnt ultimatewaffles and in both pairs the fabric in the heel area separated from the shoe and formed holes.

I love these UltraRange line of shoes but this pair has a strange smell: plastic-y or as if they got wet, or something. I have had many pairs of vans over the years and this shoe specifically (in a different color) with no weird smell ever. They are obviously new and unworn so not sure why. The smell seems to be dissipating (I think). I will just buy in-person going forward, I guess: it is just so much easier, with more choices online.

This shoe doesn’t have the soft insoles that vans usually have. They were very hard. The picture doesn’t show the thin layer of plastic over the toe.

I really wanted to like this shoe. All I wear is Vans, mostly authentics. I was looking forward to wearing a more 'runners' type shoe from my favorite brand. But there's a design flaw in the toe section. Above the toes, the top section folds upon walking. It folds into the toes. With every step, you feel the top section folding into your toes. I can't imagine how bad the "fold line" will appear after wearing the shoe for a while. Hopefully they fix this with the next version. Not sure how more reviews don't mention this.

Left shoe fits, right shoe does not. Will be returning "in store" tomorrow. Never had issues with Vans fit before. AND no paperwork included.

I spent about 5 min roaming the reviews to see if anyone else had the same issue as me and I found one review. Now don't get me wrong these shoes are BEYOND comfy but I find with every step I make the material that covers the toe box makes a popping noise with every step. The noise is loud and annoying. As a teacher I would love to wear these to work but my keys already make enough noise when I walk down the hall.

I love VANS first off! But they were way too tight in the toe area...tried different socks to see if that would make the difference, but no...too tight
