I don't know what Altra did when they designed this shoe, but they didn't make the width as wide as they have in their other shoes. This is my fourth pair of Altra's. I bought them because they are slip-on's and wanted something to wear when I was in the house. The width in the front part of the shoe is at least a half inch narrower than in the first three Altra's I bought. If I wear them too long during the day they start bothering my feet. I have not had this problem with the other Altra shoes I have bought. If you need the width (like I do) don't buy this shoe. I've been wearing this shoe for over a month.

Nice lightweight shoe for sockless kicking about. Whereas Oofos and Allbirds did not work out for me - both quality shoes - the Tokala afforded my toes the comfort of Altra's trademark FootShape Toe Box. Nice shoes. They are sized similar to Altra Torins.

I wear a size 12.5 in the Altra Torin 4.0. Based on other reviews I ordered a 12 in the Tokala 2. It was a little too big. The size 11.5 fits perfectly. I am a HUGE fan of Altra shoes - they are about all I can wear and I LOVE that I finally have some casual shoes that make my feet happy. I also own Altra Cayd, Wahweap, Grafton, Torin, Kayenta, and Vanish shoes.

Fit was exactly as expected. I have had a couple of pairs of Altra running shoes that I was very happy with. These fit just as well and are super comfortable. I have a wide toe box, and Altras fit better than many other shoes.

This felt tight on the mid foot and has a narrower toe area fit than my Altra Timp size 8.5 trail/running shoe. I struggled putting them not only due to my bunions but also because the material do not have much flex. It is still quite stylish and I will still patronize other Altra shoes.

Fits as expected. Material a little stiff at first.

Extremely comfortable for long walks. They are a little snug on the tops of your feet, but I think that may be by design to ensure they don't move around too much. They also loosened up a little after wearing a couple of times. Might be a little tight for just walking around the house, but these are more like running shoes than flip flops or Sanuks. A great alternative to Skechers if you find those a little mushy feeling.

Ridiculously narrow, unwearable even for a short period. Possibly the narrowest show I have ever tried on. So uncomfortable I never wore them once. Very disappointed with the new Altras change in shape. They are still advertising "foot" shape. Apparently human feet changed after 2019. These are narrower than the puma's I wore as a kid. I have yet to find someone I can even give them to because they are so narrow.

Not even close to fitting my feet. The other pair of Altra size 12 lace ups fit perfectly. I returned them the day I received them.

I cannot truly comment on fit, width, or arch support because I could not get this "slip on" shoe to slip on. I even tried a sturdy metal shoe horn and could not get the elastic to release far anough to slip my foot into the shoe. It was like a clamp that kept me out. Weird. They certainly want to make sure that if you wear this shoe it will not fall off inadvertently. I have 5 other Altra shoes, including dress/street, running, and boots. This shoe was perfect in length but imperfect in fit. If you have small but long feet, perhaps you'll enjoy the shoe because the design is beautiful.
