I was going back and forth ordering a half size up like other reviews said. This is my first pair of sportivas and I’m glad I stuck to my usual size which is a 9 and the 40.5 fits perfectly. They are so light and comfortable and very grippy on terrain. Very happy with this purchase!

I ordered these after returning a pair of Hoka speedgoats. These shoes are just what I was looking for! They are super lightweight, sturdy, and were ready to go right out of the box. I didn’t have to deal with any breaking-in period. I wore them around the house for an hour and then went for a 3-mile hike on varied terrain and they were great. No running or blisters and they have super grip. I did some steep downhills on gravelly turf and had no slipping.
The design and color of the shoe is fun. I have kind of big feet for a woman, and “cute” shoes can often look bulky/awkward on me. These Helios shoes actually DO look cute. They are snug (in the right way) at a size 40 (9.5+). I normally wear a 9.5-10 and so these fell right in that range.
I’m thinking of buying a second pair because I always regret not doing that, ha!

I loved these shoes for a few months. They weigh close to nothing and look great. Super comfy and supportive. Then they started to slip on the trail and fall apart. They lasted barely five months. Not what I expected from the brand. Total disappointment. Going back to my tried and true Brooks.

Ugh. Loved the Helios II - felt like socks right out of the box - went through 2 pairs of those. But these are just a no, even after 50+ miles in them. They run at least a half size small with no potential for stretch in the toe box. And there’s an awful new metal piece inserted into the heel that tears up the back of my foot. The sensitivity is also less than their predecessor. On the plus, the new laces are great. But I’ve given up wearing these - even for walking.

I have bunions so they were too tight in the toe but my daughter wears them to run in and she loves them!

Perfect for running outside in the snow. Good traction and support. Fits like a GLOVE. The way the shoe fits is almost like a sock so no snow gets in. Perfect with my Smartwool socks.

I liked this shoe, it was super comfortable and very cute. I have slightly narrow feet and they were just fine. However I think they were definitely too small. I usually take a 9 in all shoes. I wear 9 in Asics and in Hokas. Asics are my go-to shoe, but I wanted a shoe for hiking on trails and this seemed perfect. But I would need a 9.5 in these for sure. They aren't as cushioned as Hokas. But I need to insert my arch support insole due to plantar fasciitis, and that insole fit fine in these shoes. They were just too short. My toe was near the end and the rubber toe guard on the top of the shoe was touching my toe in an ouch kind of way. I am considering ordering them in a 9.5.

Since I read reviews I knew to order a half size UP. They are extremely comfortable and I’ve been wearing them everyday, all day and every where. I will miss having to wear real clothes and real shoes when/if life returns to normal. Since I’m in casual clothes they look fabulous.

I've worn these twice this week on routes where I ran a mix of pavement and dirt trail. One of the things I first noticed was how incredibly lightweight these shoes are-the lightest pair of trail shoes I own. My foot is not wide, and these are super comfortable. I like the color (Clay/Hibiscus) and they have great traction. Because I'm prone to spraining my ankle, I wouldn't wear these on highly technical rocky trails (I wear the LaSpo Ultra Raptor), but I do love them for less technical runs. I think they'd make great race shoes as they are so lightweight.

Love the cushion. Nice shoes.
Fits the perfect amount of narrow in the arch, but the toe box is like a mm too tight. Got a blood blister on a 15 mile run. Hope they update this model with a few tweaks!

I've been running in the Helios for about ten years and was dismayed when they briefly disappeared from the sportiva lineup. This model has a more rigid/stiff heal. I preferred the previous style that generally felt softer. I also preferred the quick lace system on the older model. Other than that, still an excellent shoe- great for most trails and pavement.

Light weight shoe and super cute, however I could feel every rock, root etc. while running. If you want a light weight runner for the road or walking shoe, this shoe would work nicely, but for trails I definitely will be getting something else.

Please, please, please bring back the features of the helio II. They are the only trail shoe I have been able to run in for 4 years... I was hopeful for the III but the changes are not good for me. The back of the shoe has way less padding on the Achilles area and I have gotten awful pain from them on all of my runs trying to work them into my rotation. Also the tongue of the shoe is much thinner at the top and almost sharp, even with tall socks it cuts into the front of the ankel. The quick lace system is also gone on this new model... something I loved about the IIs. The shoe is also much narrower than the previous ones and runs big as well compared to the last model. I do not mean to bash the new design, but I hope it saves some people from being so disappointed after loving the previous model so much. I have been scouring the internet and stores trying to find the previous model bow because I do not see me being able to race and distance in these new shoes. I love your products and just hope that enough feedback comes in to go back to the previous design!!!

How do they size these shoes - I wear a European 41 - sportiva calls it a 9 1/2 - Mephisto calls it a 10- good grief - how are you supposed to buy shoes
