I tried many different types of ankle-high hiking boots... and these were the most supportive and comfortable. I ordered my true size (6) and they fit perfectly. Did not need to be broken in. Took them on a 3 mile hike right away. Already hiked in snow with them and did not feel wet or cold at all. Great shoes- highly recommend!

I ordered my usual European size and these fit perfectly. If I had followed the size conversion they would have been way too big. These are the best hiking boots I've had since Inov8 discontinued the 286. Perfect out of the box, no break in period. Lightweight with excellent ankle stability. Only thing that would make them better is if they were black! I hate the color but the comfort and practicality win.

The gortex is not waterproof! The first time I wore them in the rain the water just soaked thru the toes like it was mesh. NOT WORTH THE MONEY! I’ve had other la sportiva boots that were all leather and they held up perfectly to all kinds of weather and terrain. I got these for warmer weather thinking that they would be cooler and breathable and keep my feet dry, so I was very surprised and disappointed! They are cut a little narrower than the all leather boots too. Not at all the same boot that I had loved.

These fit like a glove. Super comfy right out of the box. That plus the history of the La Sportiva name/brand made this a no-brainer. Columbia Titanium Outdry (the lovely magenta leather boots) also fit like a glove, so it was a tossup. I was concerned about the Columbia name, though - not quality as La Sportiva. The other thing was the Columbia boots had the speed-lace hooks that were anything but - took me a while to get in and out of the boots and the laces didn't "give", if that makes sense. These La Sportiva laces could be tied quite snugly or not, no tight spots where the laces got "stuck". I have not worn them out in weather/precip as of yet, will update when I do.

I loved my previous La Sportivas. Comfortable and durable - definitely worth the high price tag. But these are terribly uncomfortable. The ankles rub - even after breaking them in. Worse is that there appears to be no padding in the sole. Walking in town is unpleasant in these - no way I'd hike in them. Zero stars.

WOW! What happened to La Sportiva brand?
Those boots are made in China an are so cheap and cheesy.
Beside the fact the medium B are too narrow, the workmanship is very poor: I can the glue in some areas, there are small chips in the areas made of plastic (like the sole). Stitches look a little too "pulled" like they are about to rip.
For this price I expected more quality.
I bought some low profile La Sportiva over 10 years ago I wanted to replace with the Sabers, but it's a no.
There are 2 things I like about those boots: the sole seems to be sticky and the back (top) is made of a stretch material which makes your foot feel comfortable when you flex it.
