Functional and extremely adorable as my kid’s first pair of shoes. I first ordered the ones with laces and they were too hard to get on his fat feet. These open wide and are easy to slip on. He does sometimes stumble on grass or uneven terrain, but that’s probably because he’s not lifting his feet high enough and not the fault of the shoes. I did not notice a strong odor like the other reviewer and I am very sensitive to fragrance.

THESE STINK!!! literally…That gross smell I hate to say when you get a product from China. Smelled so bad as cute and great as they are I can’t feel comfortable having my son wear moldy chemical smelling shoes and feel good about it. wanted to like so bad and I’ve bought this brand before with no problem. Disappointed ??
