I have a hard time finding pants in this style--strong but well ventilated lighter fabric garments--for my size. I am tall and large, with a big butt and smaller waist. Often pants have a waist that is huge on me, or that sits waaay too low and slides off constantly. I don't want to have to wear a belt all the time. These stay up well, are fitted but not too tight in my thunder thighs, and fully cover my backside. No plumber's crack showing here, please. So happy Columbia has decided to carry larger women' sizes. We are a market desperate to spend money on good quality items.

These pants are the best! They look great, they stay up and the elastic never bunches up or rolls. I have 3 pair; please add more colors.

The size is true to size, if not a slight bit larger. As a true 18/20 the 2x (20/22) is a bit baggy. Which is a good thing, as I think if these were in the slightest bit tight, it wouldn't be comfortable on a hot day. The material may also accentuate lumps and bumps if too tight. They are nice and thin, the bottom cinch will come in handy when hiking. It doesn't seem too "restrictive" just enough to close around my socks or boots. Front Pockets are deep and roomy but the openings may not sit flat if you have full hips. The pocket openings also fold over or pucker out when sitting down; which may not look the neatest. I didn't buy them for "looks" but for function and comfort-ability while hiking. So, I don't really care about that; the pockets are deep/wide enough to hold my phone in an otterbox! and a small wallet. The pants overall are super comfortable. The waist on these fits large for me.

I am very pleased with my purchase and wore these pants on the plane ride to a family wedding. They were comfortable and to my delight they remained looking fresh and not creased!

I am over the moon for these pants. I bought the capris and loved them, and decided to try the pants. I got my first pair and they fit perfectly (which is not usual in my case). I wore them hiking and ended up scrambling through briars, etc. I thought they would be ruined with picks and pulls like another brand I had. I literally ordered two more pair while on the hike becauseI was sure that I had destroyed them. I got home and found that the material held up remarkably well! These pants are comfortable, cool, don't wrinkle, go from a hike to dinner to lounging perfectly. I love them! I have 2 black and one olive pair. For reference: I am 5'10", 225lbs, and have rather large legs. I bought a 1x regular.

I really love these pants. I bought some last year and this year I'm back for a different color. Very comfortable and seem to wear well. True to size.

just the pants I needed for senior balance and strength classes. Material is lightweight and cool.

Great pants for getting outside and moving. The slight stretch is comfortable and light, will be easy to layer for cooler weather.

It is SO nice to have a quality brand that does plus size right! Fits well, true to size. My only feedback is that the pockets are too shallow.

Good for outdoor activities and good looking. These pants can take you from a hike to casual dinner. Great for travel. I wish they had deeper pockets and I wish they came in plus petite or short.

These pants fit perfectly. The fabric is light and soft. I love the stretch in the material, yet they look very classy. I wear them for business during the day, and on the weekend they are perfect for casual attire or even working in the yard. So versatile.

I bought these for traveling. They are comfortable, and the pockets are actually usable.

I bought two pair of these pants last summer. I was looking for something durable, lightweight, comfortable, could pass for a pair of slacks in a pinch, and breathable. I have been wearing them almost exclusively now as my husband and I have been living with the amount of clothes that will fit in a suitcase for the last 9 months. They have held up incredibly! I did notice the navy blue pair are sized smaller than the black. The navy pair just last week developed a hole in one pocket, but otherwise both pairs still look great and are only a smidge faded from the new black pair I just received last week that's sized 1x instead of 2x (traveling and hiking is agreeing with my body, it seems!) There's a good 4-5 inch waist size difference between the two sizes, so I find the 2X black are hanging on me, the 2X navy are fitting loosely, and the 1X black are fit just loose enough to be comfortable switching between them. When packing, they roll up tight and do not take up a lot of room. They are very thin, so for winter/colder climates, I wear the looser pair and pull some reflective base layers on underneath and it works great. They wash easily and dry quickly. I've washed them in the sink and had them dry the next morning after wringing them out by rolling in a towel to get out the excess moisture in hotels and on cruise ships. These pants have literally gone to Costa Rica, Cruised to Cozumel, Roatan, and Costa Maya, travelled from summer time central Texas, through the fall and harvest season of the midwest and Nashville, Wintered in Santa Fe and Sedona, spent time in the desert in Las Vegas, the beaches of Southern California and now the central coast. I'm not sure what I would have done without them. My only gripe is the inconsistent sizing that's been close enough that it hasn't been that big a deal to me.

These are a greatest fitting pants. True to size. Love the weight of them. Great for warmer weather. Used gentle cycle to wash and dry.

I seem to have a hard time finding pants to fit my plus size, short, middle-aged bod. Somehow these are just right! Such a pleasure to find pants that allow freedom of movement and comfort! Need to get every color!

Great fit and material. I have several pants, capris and shorts in the material. Love, love, love. I use my pants to golf on rainy or not so hot days in Florida. The material is breathable and comfortable through 18 holes of walking the golf course in Florida year around.

Good quality. I bought them larger so they wouldn't be real tight and they are too big. So they do run truer to size. Still love the pants. Can always take them in.
