Way too snug (XL)… Could barely close the zipper.

I bought this as a gift for my mother, who wears a size large. I purchased the large, and she could not zip the coat. So, I replaced it with an XL, and it is still too tight. She could wear it, but would only be able to wear a tshirt underneath and did not feel comfortable. It seemed like a really nice jacket, but I would recommend sizing up based on this.

I echo all the other reviewers that say sizing is off. Usually in a size 6 and wear either a small or medium but I couldn't even zip the size medium. In addition, I was charged initial shipping and return shipping for columbias sizing mistake! Do not buy.

I have an Arcadia jacket I love. Ordered this one bc I love the floral print. Was so excited to get it. Ordered one size larger since active fit v regular fit. Just got it and it WON'T EVEN CLOSE. I am so confused. Per measurements it should fit but something is really off. I literally cannot zip it up at all. My Arcadia is 6 years old. Maybe sizing changed? But still my jacket and the measurements listed here just don't match. So sad to have to return this and have to pay for shipping twice. I was so excited when I ordered. :(
