After trying at least 4 dozen pairs of athletic shoes from a wide variety of manufacturers this was the only pair that addressed my problem feet. I have very narrow heels (the right one is more narrow than the left) with accompanying capsulitis in the metatarsal area of both feet plus sesamoiditis on the right foot. These rocker-style shoes were comfortable right out of the box. I no longer have hip and knee pain when I walk. The shoes are very well cushioned in the forefoot which seems a rarity in most shoes. The metatarsal area of the shoe is well supported and the rocker style sole keeps my foot strike away from the ball of my foot. I walk a challenging 2 - 3 miles several times a week on pavement, dirt, and gravel with steep hills. I have tried 2 or 3 other pairs from this manufacturer but these were the ideal for me. I can use my own orthotics inside but haven't felt the need due to the amazing inner construction of this shoe.
