Customer Reviews New Balance 940v4

I purchased these shoes for outdoor distance running. I was a distance runner in my youth until I developed injuries in my lower legs, and I stopped running for decades after that. When the gyms closed, I had to move my fitness activity outside, and these shoes combined with my custom orthotics have made that possible. I run approximately 5 miles a day, primarily on a dirt and gravel trail. I have been able to accomplish this without problems. The shoes are stable. They provide great support and cushion, but they do not seem heavy.

This is my second pair in the past year. Love how they fit, especially the narrow width.

Bought them for walking very lightweight feels like your wearing slippers.I had the 840's for 2 years and loved them so I figured I give these a try.

My left arch fell along time ago and the over pronation has grown decidedly worse. This shoe alleviates the pain in the foot, ankle, and knee and allows me to hit my mileage goal every day!

I am a long time runner with over pronation only on one side. These shoes give me the support that I need. Great pair of running shoes. I need a 4W and these were the perfect fit. It felt like I was putting on a pair of slippers.

Use for running and walking around the apartment parking lot

I have been wearing NB for probably 30+ years. I had recently bought a pair of 860's to replace an older pair of 860's. The new style 860 is terrible. The NB store fittted me with a size 12 B. I usually wear a 11.5 B. The new 860, even being a 1/2 size larger rubbed a callus on the second toe, and caused ankle pain. The new 940 that I purchased looks to be the same as my older 860, which I love. I am an older runner and my bad knees have pushed me into walking. I walk 4.5 miles every day. and like the support the 940 provides. I will absolutely continue to buy 940's.

I am 72 and ware a 16B. My feet hurt all the time. I found that these are perfect for all day wear and they breath for comfort too.

Quality is good, just I made mistake when ordered wide size. NEXT time I will order standard size.

I've been running with these sneakers every morning and they appear to be good, for my first time buying over internet.

I had this similar shoe from about 5 years ago from FeetFleet. Just glad that I was able to find a great replacement shoe that makes me feel great when I run rather it be on the road or on the treadmill.

I have a hard time finding shoes that fit. These do. I appreciate New Balance for continuing to provide shoes for narrow feet.

Luv the 940 line. Great support and super comfortable

The uppers are softer and more comfortable. No change to fit which is great. Perfect for wide foot with high instep and 200 lb runner. I use metatarsal pads under the insole and plenty of room. Unfortunately not made in US.

A really comfortable shoe that also offers good support. I discovered that this is my second pair. I am still using the original pair and bought the new ones when I saw them on sale on the web site. Now I wish I had bought 2.

I recently purchased the 940v4 and it is my first new balance shoe. Even though I am currently in the period of breaking them in, I'm loving the shoe more and more everyday. Being an extreme over pronator, I needed something with stability and comfort and these shoes offer just that. As far as the size goes, I recommend to buy a couple sizes and keep the one that fits you. I have been a Nike and Adidas wearer and I had to go 1 size down for the perfect fit.

I buy New Balance for my grandson . He has a wide width foot and the sneakers are always very comfortable and come in many styles and colors.
