I'm normally not a huge flip-flop person, but these are my favorite pair I've owned. First, the soles are thick and made to last. I hate flip-flops with thin, flimsy soles that feel like I'm half an inch away from being barefoot in the middle of town. These have nice, sturdy soles that are meant for travel like the name suggests. Second, the straps are secure; the sandals won't slide around under your feet. You do have to break them in, but that only takes a couple days tops. Third, they're water-friendly! A surprising number of flip-flops are made of leather, cork, suede, things you generally don't want to get wet. These are rubber and nylon, so you can wear them to the beach, the pool, the bathhouse, whatever, and water won't affect them. The only thing I don't like is that there aren't any color options besides all-black. I wouldn't have minded a colored stripe or some kind of pattern along the strap, but black goes with everything, so it's not the end of the world. The point is, if you want a strong pair of flip-flops that you won't have to replace every summer, these are your best bet.
