really, truly exactly what i was looking for!! it's comfortable and roomy but not gigantic looking. I ordered the small (I'm a size 2 or 4) and tried it on with a heavy sweater; the fit was not snug at all (maybe even a size 6 could wear it well). the hood is roomy with great coverage, and lies flat on the back when it's down (plus it's not easy to find a hood without fur these days). i know this sounds crazy, but i always have my hair blown out and get nervous about ruining it in the rain, so i am fussy. this hood seems like it will do the trick! my only : ( is that the side pockets are not zippered.

I exchanged the Large for a medium as the coat had longer arms and was larger than I would like. Medium fits great! I am 5’ 4” and 130 pds. It’s really warm as well!
