I have had many pairs of Hoka's and all others fit great and I have put a lot of road and trail miles on various models. The same size in the Toa feels huge in the toe box (width, not length) and very sloppy (no feel & lots of room/movement). They do keep your feet dry, but don't offer much cushion and oddly at the same time don't offer much feel. I definitely won't be hiking fast or far in these and will wear my Torrent's for fast approaches and my other hiking boots for hikes. Very disappointed, especially for the price point.

Super comfortable boot, but the bottom tread started tearing off after 2 months and about 80 miles of hiking mountain trails in Montana. Past hiking boots were Vasque, which always lasted two years plus. So, if you're hiking in town, Hokas would be great, but avoid if doing serious hiking in the mountains.
