The fit is good annd snug and comfortable. I wear them without socks and they feel fine. I don’t really notice the ridges on the inside. I would go a bit larger if you like socks. I am breaking them in slowly, a few hours at a time, but so far no problems. I wanted them for a trip to Hawaii and a nice walking shoe without them being tennis shoes. The color is interesting, I would have gotten blue but I like this color.
I'd also recommend:
These are replacing a pair of Teva’s that they don’t make anymore.

I have Hoka running shoes in a size 7 that fit perfectly, so I ordered these in a 7. I love them, but they're too big to keep. I think a half size smaller might work.

Love these shoes. So comfortable on my feet nd and they are very supportive. I can walk all day in them and stand in one spot for hours with no back pain.

I have absolutely no complaints about this shoe! A much much better product than Whisper or Newport Keens. I've sent multiple Keens back because they were defective. Thank you Hoka for this design!

I wear them all day long.I don't wear any other brands anymore .I tell people about these wonderful shoes. My son is a nurse and told me to try a pair. I did and I am forever sold . Thank you for all that you do.

It's taken nearly 6 months to find a walking sandal that had covered toes and arch support! I absolutely LOVE these sandals! It's like walking on cloudsso comfortable, fits well & I don't have to worry about it getting wet!

These are perfect for the beach and even walking in. Like all other Hokas they have the perfect fit for me. I’m a nurse so I’m on my feet a lot and Hokas are the only shoe that helps with my back pain.

I read the reviews before purchasing this shoe and took a chance. They have changed my walking experience sooo comfortable to walk in during the summer and my foot feels secure and protected. Easy to put on and to secure on your foot. I am glad I was not discouraged by a negative review. The shoe is not ugly it's contemporary.
