The sandals are pretty comfortable, but pinch my pinky toe after extended wear. I've got wide feet, so that's probably just an issue for me. They also feel "plastic-y". I wish they were constructed with a different material.
I love Hoka and and definitely open to purchasing other shoe options.

Fit well for an active summer but first pair wore out in 2 1/2 months. :(

Thought the sandal size would be similar to the Hoka shoe but the sandal feels much larger (longer) but the width feels the same. I read a review from 2 years ago and thought maybe the sandal material improved. The bottom of the sandal is okay but the top part feels like cheap plastic. My feet were uncomfortable within minutes. I couldn't imagine wearing them outside on a hot day--which is what I planned to do. Soles seems to have good grip but can't tell for sure.

Overall I can see how they would have excellent support. But the materials seemed to rub my feet a bit, making me realize I would need to wear socks with them to not get blisters or irritation. And if I am putting on socks, the gym shoes go on, not sandals.

I have bunions and a pronounced hammer toe on my right foot, so was looking for a closed toe sandal that I could use for hiking and water. Since I have a pair of Hoka Challengers that have carried me many miles without pain, the Hopara looked as if it might fit the bill. Sadly, they do not. First, and most critical, the rocker sole (which is what does the job keeping my hammer toe stable and pain-free) is not as good as the one in the Challenger, thus I can't go even a mile before the toe is yelping. Second, my bunion also does not do well in this shoe. Finally, it is very hot - my feet are sweating before I leave the house. Sadly, I must return these and look further.

Comfortable once they are on, but difficult to put on. The back heel is difficult to pull on, very stiff heel.

So I buy Hoka literally all the time. I must have them all. I bought two pairs of Hopara sandals. Look is fantastic. Fit is wonderful. I have never said anything bad about a HOKA shoe, ever. I have so many people buying these now. But two things about the Hopara...
1. They don't have the arch support I expect from Hoka so I have had a lot of pain after wearing them for long walks.
2. I stepped on a piece of regular mulch accidentally, and the angle was such that it stabbed entirely through the sole of the shoe and pierced my foot. That shouldn't happen as they were made for rugged terrain.

I would have loved these, although a bit bulky, if they had the early or late stage meta rocker design. I have big toe arthritis and it's either HOKA shoes or toe fusion surgery (I chose the HOKAs). The meta rocker design keeps my big toe(s) from having to bend too much, creating a walking pattern that is oh so comfortable. I walk several miles a week and would have loved for these sport sandals to have worked for me but walking in them was painful. Sent back.

The sizing I received was like a man's shoe and I was sick about it because I love the hocus

I wore these around a campsite to test them out. My feet were sore at the end of the day, which is the opposite of what usually happens when I wear hokas. I will not be wearing these on a future as I had planned when purchasing them.

The design of the footbet is very uncomfortable. If you are only using them to cross streams and they won't be worn for long, maybe. But, I had to add an insole so that I could wear them for long periods of time. They seem lke "wannabe" Keens, but they mssed the mark with footbed. I would buy another pair of Keens at a lower price over these.
I'd also recommend:
Keens

The water shoes are not as supportive as your tennis shoes are which is very disappointing. The heel sits pretty low which helps with your heel not sliding out when wet but not great for back alinement. Can't wear for long periods of time without back ache.

I love these shoes, however I find I only choose to wear them on water days. On all other days, they are just too warm for a comfortable summer shoe.

I needed a half size larger than in my other Hoka shoes. But they are all rubber, and so while they are a sandal, they are very hot, even to try out in our air conditioned home. I will be returning them and will stick with other styles of Hoka.

My feet have no issues I'm aware of but the left shoe bugs me...painful after a day of roaming around.

These shoes look great and feel amazing, for a while anyway. The last 2 times I wore them I got terrible blisters on my arch and my heel. I'm hoping it's something I can fix by adjusting the tightness because I do like them.

I wear Bondi 7 Hoka's for plantar fasciitis. I was hoping these Hoka water shoes would be a sandal / water shoe I could wear this summer. It did not provide the support of the Blondi 7. It was wider than the Blondi 7. I wore them around the house and then woke up in the middle of the night with arch pain that went up my leg.

I had a hard time getting these shoes on. They felt the right size but they were not comfortable . I wear Hoka shoes almost all the time. I love the walking shoes!! Sorry these just did not work for me.

I wear a 9 in the Hoka Clifford. According to the reviews, I should order my usual size, so I did. The 9s were huge - with or without socks. I ordered the 8s, and they are the right length, but somewhat wide. These are MENS sandals relegating women to second class.

The toe box is too wide for my skinny feet. Too much room to move around.
