Pretty much true to size, but.. I wear a 10 in every shoe except tennis shoes I wear a 11 These I first ordered a 11 and they were too big. Then tried a 10 just a tad to small, then I tried a 101/2 and it was perfect! They are so comfortable!

I do a lot of kayaking and hiking so I needed a shoe that would accommodate both activities on the same day. These are water proof, and have an excellent hiking sole. The one down side is that I cannot wear them without socks. They rub my ankle in the back. Hoka either needs to provide more cushion in that area or us different material for the back strap. Unfortunately I need to return this pair.

The shoes are sturdy, and perfect for walking, hiking, and exploring rocky beaches. That's why I bought these particular shoes. Haven't worn them outside yet, but hopefully they will work out fine.

I wanted to love these shoes, but I had to send them back. The shoe came up so far on my foot that it hit my ankle and was actually painful to wear. Even my sneakers don't come up that far. Hopefully Hoka will make one that is cut a bit lower, because I really liked them.

Very comfortable cushion, only issue I have is that it heats up when bare foot. Feels great with socks.

I'm comparing HokaOneOne Hopala fit to my Keen hiking sandals--The Keen is more comfortable overall, but the Hoka has much more room for my toes even in a Medium width and I appreciate this in a walking/hiking sandal because feet will swell slightly with activity. The Hoka is better worn with thin peds as it's easier to get my feet into the shoe. Once on, it's GREAT! the Wide toe box is really comfy. I ordered down a 1/2 size because the Keen fit better that way. And it's true for the Hoka as well--I think a regular size 8 would have been way too big

Great sandals. Particularly like that I can wear my orthotics.

I LOVE my hoka flip flop recovery sandals. I also have some hoka hikers which I've put orthotics in. These water shoes are good. After a 5 mile hike, I did feel my Morton's neuroma talking to me. Still, for the creek type hikes, I'm in with them.

I did not realize these were mens shoes, so I ordered the wrong size. Even so, these are pretty big and chunky. I imagine they would be very comfortable for hiking long distances, but there is so much going on on top that I am not sure that they really provide the benefit of being a sandal. I am returning these, so can't comment on how they would perform in water. It looks like they are designed for getting wet, but there is a lot to get dry afterwards, I this it would be better if they were fewer/less bulky straps.

I have plantar fasciitis, very high arches and slightly wide feet. These are working well. More comfortable with socks than without, but as a gardener, I appreciate ventilation along with toe protection when it’s too hot for regular athletic shoes. These have reasonably good arch support with some give, but not too squishy.

A great shoe, with good arch support. Unfortunately, I had two surgeries on my right foot at the arch and I got a bister where it rubbed. Not the shoes fault. customer service was great!

I own many HOKA shoes and was excited to try the sandals. I wore them walking around the Florida Keys and was comfortable in the heat and humidity. I didn't wear socks, but probably will when I go hiking on the trails. Ordered my usual size and they fit great.

They have given my scoliotic back a new life because of the cushioning that keeps me from jolting my spine with each step and I ordered these because warm weather has my feet needing airy shoes that keep summer fungus from killing me with constant itching. So these should have been perfect BUT one day of wear had me in pain, with the side of the shoe high enough to cut into my ankle bone. I'd like to return them but one day of use makes them used. Still love all my other Hokas.

HOKAS always get a 5 star rating from me, except these are a little widely bulky. But I'm still wearing them!! Best shoes you will ever wear!

I really like these! I needed walking sandals, so that my feet wouldn't get too hot and sweaty, and so that the walking wouldn't make me so achy (arthritis). These are great for my joints! The only thing that I'd improve on is the material that goes all along the top of the foot. I'd prefer more openness or holes on top by the toes, for more breathability.

I was looking to find a summer equivalent to the Hoka Rincon 2 . After initially trying these on I found that the arch support was a bit painful, almost too much , but did wear them for two hours and walked in my gardens to see how they functioned. I found that they worked well and offered very nice support & they are water proof , so after a few days of use I believe they will be just what I will need to offer proper support in my garden season.

I like these sandals. I have bought Keen sandals for many years but they have become too narrow for comfort. The Hopara has a good width. I do find them stiff and wish they had more padding in the sole I had to put a heel cup in for more cushioning. I don't know if I will buy these again.

This sandal is very comfortable when wearing around the house, running errands, or for short distances. However, when I walk in it for longer distances without socks, I have noticed my little toe rubs on the edge of the side hole and starts hurting. Design might need to be reworked to prevent this.

Got these shoes for boating/river/lake stuff. They are high quality, as one would expect from Hoka. I had to exchange for a half size smaller. They are a bit clunky. Maybe I need to get used to them. I'm used to low-profile "water shoes". My husband bought a pair right after I got mine and he's really happy with his. Squeaky, but not a deal-breaker. Much more substantially constructed than another extremely popular plastic shoe/clog with holes in them (you know the ones....).

I am keeping the gray and blue sandals, but these black ones fit differently, seemed wider and not as cushy, plus the black is really black. It would be nice if there was a contrasting color with it.

These shoes are not the most attractive sandals that Zappos has to offer, but perfect if you need comfort and support! Incredible stability and cushion. When wearing a skort/skirt/leggings, they are cuter than sneakers. Always great when I have to be on my feet for a while: walking or light exercise, running errands, cleaning house.

Like other HOKA products, they feel great! Comfortable from first wear. They are wider than expected and slightly difficult to put on, as there are no straps. I would definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to purchase for great outdoor walking sandal and water sandal.
