I have a pair of Hoka shoes which I wear with orthotics. I love the shoes so I thought I’d like the sandals as well. I ended up sending them back mainly because they didn’t have much padding in the heel. I am exchanging them for Keen sandals.

Length was perfect with sturdy arch support...but there was just a little too much boost and the support was somewhere other than under the arches ... my super difficult to fit feet send Zappos a BIG thank you for their friendly try and return policy!

Very comfortable! Will use for summer hiking. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that they are hot. They don’t breath as well as I would have liked.

I'm a wearer of Hoka recovery shoes daily so I know that they run 1 size larger. I guess people who have run a marathon enjoy slipping their aching feet into loose shoes. I wear Hokas because I have plantar fasciitis and, even after two fasciotomies and tendon lengthening, my feet require constant support. I wear the recovery slides indoors (and in the shower) and the Ora recovery shoes (and ocassionally Gaviotta 3s) outside. And I LOVE them both. They've reduced my daily foot pain significantly. But when it came to ordering the right size of these Hoparas, I wasn't sure if they were true to size like Hoka sneakers or 1 size larger like all of the recovery shoes. So I ordered three sizes and ultimately learned that, like the recovery shoes, the Hoparas are indeed 1 full size larger than they are marked. My foot is typically an 8 but the 7 works best for me in the Hoparas. Take note that the Hopara sandals lack the great cushioning footbed. Arch support is moderate. I will be using these as water shoes during an aquatic arthritis class at the Y, so I'm hoping to get by with this moderate support.

They size and fit are good. I was a little surprised by how semi hard they felt when walking. I was expecting something like the sneakers that are really soft when walking. Over all they are nice.

I wear a 6.5 in every other pair of Hoka shoes, and I have several pairs. For whatever reason, these were too tight and so were returned. I bought a size 7 and those are perfect.

Bought these for use at the lake - dealing with a boat, I did not want my toes exposed and wanted something that could get wet. They are great! I only gave a lower rating for the style because I think they make my foot look wide. However, I really don't care about that for what I am using them for.

Lasted Seven months and the the back strap broke

I got these Hokas since I expect to walk a lot on vacation. I've worn them three days straight, for eight hours a day at my job where I stand on concrete floors for my whole shift. My feet are fairly wide, but I have plenty of room in the toe box. My only complaint is that the string and slide apparatus used to tighten and secure the shoe is very stiff and hard to adjust. I hope it will ease up a bit over time.

I think they are too big and cumbersome. I'll try them on one more time and decide by tomorrow. thank you.
