The durability of the sole is great. But that's the only good thing about the sandal. The cushion on the straps really cause great friction on your skin when wet so you find yourself adjusting the straps looser/ tighter all day. In humid conditions, when wet, those cushion points do not dry and just because sandpaper on your feet. It's terrible blisters. The rubber sole just stains your feet black after hours of wear. My review is based on taking these to the Philippines & hiking Patagonia. Only having them 1.5 months im ready to throw them out & invest in another brand with different materials. More is a negative with this sandal.

The sandals came with a defect. The sandal was strapped wrong and missed the plastic but did loop the leather. Subsequently the leather broke.

After four weeks of a three month backpacking tour from southeastasia to nepal both anklestraps on the inner just ripped out of the midsole. Watching the Rose Anvil review in youtube, the complete through the midsole strapping was the sole reason for this. Besides, it is a horrible heavy sandal. Now what? Two months to go. Opt for something obviously crappy from a street vendor? No. I looked up a store to get another Teva pair. I was so bummed, i just didn't wanted to spend the bug buck. So i bought the OG Universal. The front straps just bit themselves into my pinky til, honestly, after 7,5km it started bleeding. Went back. Grabbed a pair of XLT 2. And the main strap is to short and doesn't even have the plastic ending for convenient grab. Man! Honestly??? Next year i'll get two pairs of Xero trail! So so really bummed! Can't have that kind of problems with gear while you're on the trail. No way! Literally.

I used these sandals for light day hiking. A heel strap pulled out yesterday after 4 months of use. Another issue with these is that when the straps get wet, the material expands dramatically - if I sploshed through a creek, I'd have to retighten the straps by like almost an extra inch every time. I don't get the feeling these are really thoughtfully designed for outdoor use.

The very first pair of Teva sandals I owned lasted me 15 years when the velcro finally gave out. With that mindset I purchased these sandals to accompany me on my many future adventures. BUT, just after 2 years the sole is starting to fall apart and I do not see these sandals holding out much longer. Teva sandals are definitely not what they use to be.

The soles on these Teva sandals wore through in just 2 MONTHS! Photo shows holes circled in red. They changed the sole design from solid to hollow treads and now parts of the sole have worn through and squeak as I walk. I've worn Teva sandals for 25+ years, and they used to last 2+ YEARS. The poor quality is highly disappointing. Teva used to be a GREAT brand.

The attachment of the Velcro on the heel strap is poorly designed. While adjusting and securing the strap, or when I remove the sandals from my feet, the edge of Velcro gets caught against the edge of the slot in the medial upward projection from the sole of the sandal. This could be corrected by using a ONE INCH LONGER piece of Velcro on the terminal end of the ankle strap. I think it will be only a short time before the Velcro becomes detached.

Over several years I have accumulated five pair of Teva Terra sandals. They are high and supportive. I sent these 2 pair back to Teva, because they did not have the same kind of support the ones I own. I was a big fan of Teva, but no more.

I love these sandals. This is the 3rd generation of this Sandal that I have bought. The model and name has changed through the years each with some modest improvement. I have worn the predecessors for about 12 years and this pair for about 30 days. I like the arch support, the shape of the sole fits my feet perfectly. Three straps (velcro adjustments) allow me to easily fit the sandals to my feet. I have never experienced any chaffing or sores from the straps. In the winter I wear them with heavy wool hiking socks, in spring, summer and fall I generally wear them without socks. They have excellent grip on multiple surfaces and are very comfortable. The sole is stiff which is really a plus when I hike over talus and other rough surfaces.

I absolutely love these sandals. I bought them for a trip, used them brand new for an entire day hiking/ walking in Panama and they were incredibly comfortable. I never had any problems with my feet after a full day walking. Unfortunately, I left them at the 1st hotel we stayed at and before I realized it was too late as we were across another part of the country. I am sick about it. I would 100% recommend them to anyone. You can't go wrong with this sandal. It is worth the money.

I'm not a sandal guy, but these have worked out very well so far. If I can make a change, use buckles, not velcro.

My footwear has to stand up to a lot of wear, stay securely on my feet, retain functionality in a range of conditions, and be comfortable for hours of walking and wading. These Tevas are very well-designed and well-made; the materials are of high quality, and tolerate moving through wet and dry sand multiple times over the course of a day ("shorebird steward" at Hunting Island State Park) without the straps becoming abrasive or uncomfortable , and clean up nicely, and can be worn wherever I have to be after leaving the island.

These sandals are very durable and comfortable. My previous pair finally wore out after literally decades of use. The new ones are even better because the embossed channels on the ey did in the first pair.
