I've always loved Tevas but thought I would try Chaco's Classic style. First off, the Chaco's straps were far too tedious to get into but the absolute worst part of their design is that they were pebble traps! A pebble would get stuck between my foot and the shoe bed and it could not be shaken out. I was always having to take the sandal all the way off to get rid of the pebble. I wore the Chacos for 2.5 summers wanting to get my money's worth out of them, but it was torture. I finally got back to a pair of Tivas and they are great; easy in and out, comfortable and light, and I can usually shake loose any errant pebbles with ease. In the summer I live in my Tevas.

I wear these sandals for most outdoor activities, from hiking, boating, and mountain biking. I love having my toes free and the foot bed has enough flex that I can feel the ground and the way my feet work. The soles are great at gripping most terrain which gives me confidence when hiking, even under wet conditions. I'm on my third pair.

I bought my first pair in the mid-90's. The first pair was exceptional. This pair is better still. Easier to take on and off, better fitting. More robust and aggressive sole for hiking and wet crossings. Much cushier sole; a joy to walk in. I ordered a size too large and Teva exchanged them immediately with no shipping costs. Took about a week round trip. Excellent customer service.

This is the second time I have purchased this model, I wore the sole out on the first pair. This shoe are a great fit out of the box, an are so comfortable you can wear them all day from day one.
When I wear this pair out I hope Teva still has this model.

I didn't want to like these sandals to be honest. I bought a bunch of them to try on at home, and this one was the chunkiest, most over-built model. That being said, it was the most comfortable of the bunch. I had a very specific goal in mind: a pair of sandals that I could use for hiking, walking, swimming, basically one do-everything pair. Fashion was an afterthought (these are sandals, come on people).
The most noticeable difference between the Terra Fi, and the other sandals I tried, was the material and thickness of the sole. These babies have a dense, rubber-like material, as opposed to the squishy, foam-like feeling of the other sandals, these have much less "cushion" and more of a "supportive" feeling, which remind me of the few times I've tried on Chacos. The sole is alsoreally grippy and intense, hopefully they're good for trails and wet rocks. They have a more molded fit, with little grooves that flare up around your heel and the sides of the sole, which look more protective from accidental stubbed toes, and make your feet feel "locked in" to the shoe. At first I didn't like theheel fit for this reason - but after adjusting the straps a bit, my feet were happy. There are also little flaps that protect the top of your foot from rubbing on the straps, made of neoprene or something similar, which make a difference in comfort. I specifically bought the "blade/fire" looking colorway, as a joke because sandals are obviously not really fashion statements, and despite all that, they are the pair I kept.
Comfort: 10/10
Style: 6/10
Overall:comfortable, substantial, versatile. Just what I was looking for.

Overall Teva continues to make a fine sandal. Has a very comfortable feel; good traction for trail walking. My only complaint is that the very end of the ankle strap (which has a rubber tip end) is not sewn to the very end of the underlying velcro base strip. The strap itself is adjustable to fit the size of the ankle and secures (closes) properly -- however, when removing the strap to take the sandals off -- the strap tip is hard to grasp in order to start the removal (separation of the velcro surfaces) process.

The arch support is great and more sturdy than the traditional. I was debating between a few different pair and the customer service was OUTSTANDING! This pair is worth the extra money!!

I'll maybe wear other sandals while puttering around, but will only wear Teva's for hiking, camping, long walks, jogging, etc. Will always be a Teva guy!

I own about 7 different pairs of teva ..... and these don't disappoint either . They are super light and comfy . I bought the men's because I love more neutral colors like grey and navy . Wish these came in kid sizes for my daughter .

After 28 years, my last pair of Teva's gave out. These are a good replacement. They are fraying a bit faster on the straps than my prior pair and they are a little slippery on smooth wet surfaces. These provide great arch support and are my go to shoes for walking.

I've been wearing Tevas since 1991 and this is my third pair, if that tells your anything about how good they are. And, I wear them almost every day for an hour or two...sometimes all day. They are comfy, durable, and versatile.

In So. TX I can wear sandals 7-8 months a year. I've lost count of the numbers of Teva I've worn out. This is not because of poor products. Its because they are so good I use them constantly and don't want to get out of them. Uses daily wear when dress codes or toe safety aren't barriers. Great light to medium hiking, kayaking, fishing, knockabouts, leisure, driving, shopping, you name it. I've favored the heavy duty Hurricane model, but it didn't appear to be available anymore so I tried these Terra Fi 5 Universals. I think they are great. I like the lightness of the new design while retaining durability. I've learned when you find something you like, buy multiples because new and improved is rarely true. This time it is.
