I decided to purchase Johnston&Murphy shoes because I used to own a pair, but I do recommend that they get purchased at the store because they can be inspected and truly fitted. Only pictures versus what I got is not a fair comparison, colors look different and for the price honestly not worth how they feel.

Good looking shoe but I have not worn it much because there is not enough support in the shoe. When I wear the shoe my back bothers me!

I have owned several pair of your shoes. These are by far the cheapest looking shoes I have ever received. The uppers look more like vinyl than leather. I loved your products, but I think it is time to try something else.

Not quite what I expected. The fit was wider than anticipated and the structure of the shoe was not very supportive. It would not have been a good walking shoe.

The woven design makes these shoes stylish. The comfort level is similar to other name brands. But at 135 dollars a pair, they are not good value in my opinion.

Love the look and style. However these are not comfortable to wear more than an hour. There is little cushion compared to other JM shoes. If you like the look and will not be on your feet all day then go for it.

The shoes are nice, but too big to wear in comfort. Might try with pads stuck in heels.

The stitching is coming out and I only wore them one weekend. Was normal wear. I have written a review before with no response. I was happy to purchase these but disappointed.

Ive been waiting for the right moment ot wear my new J&Ms. I thought a wine tour would be the perfect time in Mexico. I wore them for the 1st time for 3 days in a row with average walking on normal terrain. The topstitching has started to come out already and I dont mean a fly away. I noticed that in a couple other areas the same may be starting. I want to wear these for everyday use but I am scared for the money they wont hold up. Not sure what to do.

Johnston & Murphy typically makes quality shoes but these are unfortunately not one of them. Although they are very comfortable and fit perfectly, both shoes squeak in the heel...every step I take. Being that they are only a few months old, I am extremely disappointed as the squeaking is not only annoying to me but it's loud enough for others to hear. The squeaking began on the left shoe pretty much right after I purchased them but it was pretty unnoticeable. Not only has it progressed, but the right shoe is now just as bad. Think twice before purchasing these shoes!

After I received these shoes I noticed a discoloration, It's like both shoes were dipped in oil up up to the toe caps. At first I thought that was the design, so I checked the catalog, but unfortunately for me I got a bad pair. Too bad because I really like this company.

The shoes were much darker than shown on multiple pictures. Also the back patch was sewn crooked and was very noticeable. I returned the shoes. They were very comfortable but not what I ordered or expected

This is the second pair of McGuffey shoes that I have purchased. I bought them and a pair of the tan skull embossed shoes and like the skull embossed shoes, they squeak from the INSIDE of the shoe, and I've only worn them 4 times over the course of several years. I bought them to wear to Coronado because they are great looking. They just seem to come apart and make noises. I was in a Dillard's and the person there said that they get a lot of the McGuffeys back. Very disappointed.

The shoes broke mid aspect after less than 3 weeks of light use. Fortunately the customer service team was kind and allowed for a return. Will not buy the brand anymore. Realized that paying more e.g. EA brand is totally worth it

These shoes arrived looking like this; the left shoe looks brand new the right shoe looks like somebody wore it to a party. This pair was sent to me as a replacement for a defective pair on which the stitching was coming unraveled after less than a half dozen uses. Having been a JM customer for many, many years, I am extremely disappointed in the customer service and failure of attention to detail in transactions with the McGuffey.

Bought the McGuffey shoe a few months ago. Wore them maybe a dozen of times. The liner on the inside has pulled away from the shoe and now flaps. I owned many shoes from JM and this is the first time I've experienced an issue with a product.

Bought these 5 months ago, they've never stopped squeaking. Sole-to-floor squeaking, not internal slipping. Grip-release of the floor squeaks every single step, Also, much smaller than my last pair of slip on JM's. I hate them.
