Cannot tell if it is going to be warm enough but I like that it is animal friendly (no down, no fur!) fit is comfortable and can move easily. Lightweight and not bulky.

This is a nice coat. I am new to this brand so I was not sure of the sizing. I am a size 6/8 and I ordered the small in the Alpine because the other colors were sold out. The fit is a bit tight in my shoulders and bust. I may try a medium for comparison and more shoulder room, but I like a more fitted look and fear it may fit and look to big in the waist. Although the Alpine was not my first choice, I do like it and will stick with this color as all of my other winter coats are navy. Don't be afraid to try this color, it is much more muted in person with blueish/grey undertones. It is a subtle and unique, pretty color that will lighten up a drab winter day. My only complaint is that I wouldn't really sell this as a "sherpa lining." While the hood is truly lined, the body only has about a 1 .5 inch sherpa trim on each side of the zipper. The tag says it is warm from 23 to 50 degrees F. This may not be so great for the polar vortex winter days we have been getting in Wisconsin in January/February but it will work for many of the cold months we get here. It is nice and lightweight and hits just above my knees (I am 5'8). The pockets are nice and flush with a zipper that almost appears hidden so it does not add extra bulk in.the hips, a nice touch. I got this on sale at 35% off. I do not think I would pay close to $300 for it at regular price though.

I love this jacket. It is so comfortable and warm. I have several other real down jackets (NF and Patagonia) and this is my favorite by far as it is the most comfortable and the warmest. I am 5'9" and 135 lbs and the large fits perfectly, with room underneath for a sweater.

This line of coats runs smaller than other comparable brands....order one size up! For my size and to accommodate sweaters, I usually wear a large, but need extra large in Save The Duck.
