These are high quality kids athletic shoes. They are supportive and durable. The laces are preset elastic- which I was not crazy about and wish would have been stated prior to purchase, however a few months into daily wear and the laces are still tight. They can be tricky to put on- especially for a small child trying to do it independently. A tab or loop at the back of the shoe to help pull it on would be a great improvement.

The elastic shoe strings didn't keep his heel in, so I cut the stings out, punched out the top hole and installed Nathan corded lace locks, now it's perfect.

I bought these because I want my kindergartener to learn to tie shoes. They are very cute, high quality shoes but they have a stretchy opening to slip on, so I will be returning since I wanted tie shoes.
