The last time I had this style was the Excite 4 and I absolutely LOVED them! I picked these over my more expensive ones every single time. While I like the 7 I believe the 4 had more cushion in the toe box and seemed to just be more springy in general.

Love the color. Very loud but is tight. I was very disappointed when my feet started hurting. Still narrow. Length good but narrow.

I've been purchasing shoes with this company for the past 15 years. I've always worn the same size and width. The shoes were to narrow and my toes were squeezed in the shoe. If buying this shoe I would buy a larger or a wider size. Sizes in the different shoes all are different. Not consistent which makes no sense.

Great looking shoe but the toe box seems more narrow than my previous 3 pairs of ASICS. I had to return them.

The upper fabric of the inside edge of the toe box basically comes down from the toe of the shoe in a straight line. If your foot is a straight line from your big toe to your heel, I guess it's fine. Otherwise your foot is going to push out and hang over the seam between the upper and the sole, and it's not comfortable. Great looking shoe though.

The wide width is still tight. Wish they came in X-wide. Other than that, it's a great shoe

Years ago, I wore an 8.5 in asics trail running shoes. I'm on the hunt for both trail running & road running shoes, so I ordered these and the Gel Sonoma 4, both in size 8.5. The Gel Excite 7s were nearly an inch too long - while the length was perfect in the Sonomas! I don't know how there could be such a discrepancy between the two. I don't have particularly wide feet, but I also found that these hugged the sides of my feet and I worried that my pinky toe may get blistered or eventually wear through the upper, so I decided to return them and not even try to exchange for a smaller size.

They are ok, they don't have a much cushion as I would've hoped but they are a good gym shoe.
