Fit my 5 year old’s wide feet. I’ve purchased dozens of wide shoes over the years, this is the second athletic shoe that has fit.

The shoe is a good looking shoe. My son has a wide foot. The shoe had extra room in the front that made his foot slip forward. That is the only reason we did not keep it.

Please note these are not real shoe laces. So many shoes are modeled this way, so it was confusing. I returned.

I bought these in grey a few months back. My son always has worn New Balance and they wore well. These are listed in the search as elastic/slip on and the same in the description. That said, I clicked on the product page from my orders lost, then reordered in a larger size, in red, and they are lace-up shoes. The image now shows laces. I don’t know what changed from a few months back to now but that needs to be updated.

This shoe was stiff. Compared to other New Balance shoes my son has worn in the past, he felt this wasn't as comfortable. It's very stiff across the back of the ankle.

We were not aware that these shoes were not lace ups and the elastic would not tighten enough for our son without bunching out in front.

We got these in red, my son loved them, and then grew out of them. This time we got the gray and green in a bigger size. They look awesome but the red ones are true laces and the gray and green are stretchy laces. With the gray and green and stretchy laces my sons heal slides in and out. Sadly they are going back and we are going to re-order the red in a bigger sizes.

I returned these shoes because they looked pink according to my son. They are not pink. However, they are not a true red color either. Overall, we thought they looked ugly so I returned them.

These shoe look nice. However, the description says they have traditional laces. They do not. The "laces" are elastic and can not be tied. Returning because the elastic is not tight enough.

Ugh! We just got these and I am so disappointed. I thought these were slip on shoes (the kind with laces but that don’t tie). Not sure if the picture was misleading or I just didn’t pay enough attention. They look amazing but I have a super picky kid so I’ll have to send these back.

Didn’t feel that these NB running shoes provided enough support. Returned them.

Really cute shoe, however they're not traditional tie up laces. They're elastic and cannot be tightened. If they get looser over time, you'll be left with a shoe that is slipping off your kid's foot while running around and/or hiking. Returning for a lace-up!

The elastic laces would not stand up to any sort of real hiking. It would be blister-city on the heels. You would have to make your own holes to put real laces on this shoe. These would probably work great for day/casual use. But they say they are trail shoes so not for us.

These do not have tie laces as someone stated on the questions section. These are slip ons. I have to return them.

These shoes would have been perfect for my son, but they have elastic laces vs. traditional tie laces. We are so bummed out! Especially since the girls' version of this exact same shoe (ordered for my daughter in the exact same size as my son's) DO have traditional tie laces. Weird!

Please note these sneakers DO NOT have real ties, they are elastic. I actually asked about this before I ordered them but was mislead by someone at Zappos. They are elastic and do not tie. The entire reason I was purchasing these sneakers was to help teach our son how to tie shoes instead of velcro or elastic. Please update your web site...it is incorrect. Thanks

Product description is a complete lie. These are NOT traditional tie shoes. They are elastic laces. I would not have bought them if they were elastic. Very unhappy.
