ASICS Nailed it this year with the Gel Nimbus 22. Been a customer since the 17 edition. the 17 and 18's spoiled me - then I learned each year to wait to see if they nailed it. A few years recently were off - the 19's perfect- the 20's ran short, the 21's didn't seem to have the support and cushion of previous versions but the 22 is the best ever. Got the toe box right - support excellent and the cushion outstanding! I'll hedge ahead with these by ordering a few extra pairs in case the 23's are off!

I'm ecstatic with these! I swore off all big name brands because seemingly none of them make a true wide sneaker in anything other than black or white. After reading the positive reviews I decided to give these a chance and they're outstanding. I'm 6', 185, 45 yrs old, don't run, moderate walker, have high arches, slender ankles, with a nasty history of plantar fasciitis, and low back issues. And they look cool as anything.

In recent years seemingly every brand has become markedly narrower in my size (even New Balance models are only reliable if they are made in the US) and I'd almost given up on the Gel Nimbus. Thankfully these 22s are very close in feel to the 15s/16s I still have, and what I've hoped for in every Gel Nimbus model since then. For context, I have a wide foot (women's size 8.5 2E in NB), with high arches and slight supination (aka platypus feet). The Gel Nimbus 18-21s were all too tight even at a men's 4E, unlike the 15s and 16s which fit me comfortably in a men's size 7.5 4E (they have always run a bit small, usually I wear a size 7 in men's shoes). That same size in the 22s is a good fit. The 22s are maybe a touch tighter across the bridge, but the newer fabric design stretches fine if I choose thick socks. Perhaps ASICS finally paid attention to all the complaints. The amount of gel cushion and heel padding they were known for are also back. The wide widths even come in 2 colors for a change (although one is still the usual black/white). The blue (sheetrock / graphic grey) is neutral and dark enough that I can sometimes get away with wearing it to work. The copper accents don't pop unless in strong light. Overall very happy and I'll be stashing a few pairs away.

Brand new, it was an ideal shoe. Very light weight. My feet had the sensation of floating. The sizing was very accurate, and I really like the option of the extra wide size. You cannot get that any any store. I am very pleased with Zappos.com for that reason. But after a few weeks, a hundred miles perhaps, the heel had broken down - listing ~ 10 degrees outward due to my supination. To avoid injury, I discarded them at that point. I've purchased GELNimbus models over the past 10 years - most recently a model 20, and have never seen one break down. I do not recommend the model 22, unless you plan to only use it in a race or two.

This is the best fitting ASICS shoe in several years. The true was true to size and is comfortable. The toe box is roomier. Although pricey, I recommend this shoe.

The fit and size were exactly right. I had a very hard time finding a running shoe for underpronation. This shoe feels great.

The fit and size are perfect. The pattern however either the breathing holes is not matched up. I didn’t really notice it right away but now it looks ridiculous

Nimbus has been my go-to for years. I really liked the 21, and am very disappointed with the 22’s. I average 6-7 miles a day. I just reached day 30 of wearing these, and the left shoe has been ripping on the side. The bottom has also worn through to the foam. Unfortunately this has been a common occurrence over the past few years Nimbus models for me. Fortunately Zappos offers the 30 day guarantee, but since Nimbus is the shoe that works best for me I end up replacing with the same model. I ordered the knit version the other day and am curious to see how well they hold up. At this rate I’ve been purchasing a pair per month. I’d also like to add I’m not rough on them, and am walking or jogging in my neighborhood on pavement. No rough terrain. They are comfortable once broken in, but durability is terrible.

The shoes came with the incorrect laces and had smudges ion the tongues of each shoe. They were the last size 11 mens so I'm thinking they are a return item. I like the shoe but paying 160.00 for damaged goods is not what I expected. I will be returning the shoes. When they came back dirty and with different laces I would hope they would be pulled from inventory. Not a good experience this time.

Love these shoes! I have feet issues involving plantar fasciitis and arthritis. The arch and heel support are excellent and the wide toe box is perfect for my poor arthritis feet. I was drawn the retro style of the white with blue and red stripes, which reminded me of Tigers I wore in college. These are my new favorite shoes.

Used to wear ASICS exclusively years ago, then they changed the last or something and haven’t been able to wear them for several years. The Nimbus 22 feels more like the old ASICS, wide sizes are actually wide, toe box not as narrow and cushioning is better than ever. Great fit right out of the box.

I have been wearing Asics for several years now. In an Oxford style shoe I wear an 11 Extra Wide. I ordered an 11.5 4E from Asics and they fit great. I am enjoying the comfort of the Gel-Nimbus 22. Much better than previous Gel-Numbus.

I’m happy the Nimbus is good again. I was a fan of all versions until 19 which is when they lost their way for me. I had read that they were back to normal so I gave these a try. I’m on my third pair now. Like all my running shoes, I keep track of mileage. I run 500 road miles in each pair (50 miles a week) then I retire them. Since they’re usually still in good shape, no holes, still good tread, I wash and donate or if I like the style color combo I keep them for kicking around. My only complaint is like most brands, the best colors never seem to come in wide EE.

I usually get New Balance shoes in 2E but found the ASICS 2E to be too narrow. The width fit a lot better once I sized up to the 4E.

Ordered the wide and it was Definitely wide. Had to return. If you’re not a wide then order normal size. Color was great.

The shoes are, I think, the most comfortable I have ever worn! I have not run in them, but my feet and knees are happy doing a bit of cross training/bodyweight exercising

These are extremely comfortable with good midfoot support. The toe box has ample room for my standard width feet. The upper is very breathable with micro mesh above the toe box. As they say its the Cadillac of running shoes. And remember like a Cadillac they are not light in weight so these are good for everyday, distance running. I love the Tokyo colorway so much. Asics created a great Nimbus iteration. Plush 1994 Pamela Anderson.

Good bouncy and light running shoe. Also sturdy and supportive of your feet. Perhaps a little narrower than previous nimbus models but they do stretch out with the fabric.

If you have a wider foot it would be best to order a half size up in a wide fit. They are roomier than Nike’s, but still a tad snug in width.

This shoe looks nothing like the picture. Ordered the White/Pure Silver (shown as a white shoe with silver trim - first picture below.) Got the shoes today - they are drab grey, not even remotely white (second picture below.) The tag says they're the White/Pure Silver option. Can someone tell me why ASICs doesn't make WHITE shoes anymore? Every obnoxious color under the sun except white. I've been wearing (and loving) ASICs for almost 40 years but I'm about done with them. Will be returning these.

Love the potential fit, but they were tight to really know. I’m exchanging them for the next size. The color is nothing like the color in the stock photo. It’s a pastel orange, not what shown.
