The laces for this shoe are too thin for a child learning to tie shoes to tie. In addition when they create knots they are difficult to unravel.

Love the look of these shoes. I wish I could buy my husband a matching pair. My son has both colors and enjoys having laces (he is in kindergarten). I agree with another reviewer that the laces are too flat for kids just learning to tie their shoes. I replaced with oval laces from amazon for $3. The wide fit is perfect for my son’s feet. I fit is true to size.

My son loves these. He wants to wear them every day despite his school having a different shoe for uniforms! It’s a great shoe - offers a lot of support. He had slip on shoes previously and I found he rolled his ankle a lot. So these shoes provide more ankle support and he hasn’t rolled it since. They look great too. The N is reflective and the blue color really pops.

These are my sons go to shoes! It’s the third time I have orders this design. They hold up well to heavy use. Highly recommend!

these are great looking shoes. my sons ninja warrior/ parkour class all wear new balance shoes. they needed to be soft and spongy and these are.

Love these shoes! Stylish, easy for my little one to get on and off and it has great support for his active lifestyle. Highly recommend.

6 year old only wore them once so far. He said they were comfortable- and he is very particular about how shoes feel. Buying sneakers for him is so hard because of the width of his feet. I always buy NB for him and I always size a half size up- just in case. The laces are very thin, but I had no problem tying them for him. So far we are satisfied with these sneakers.

Great shoe, but we're on our third pair because they fall apart after 2-3 months.

My son wore these literally one day and they're already wearing through on the side. Terrible!!

This product looked great the day it was received and our 4 y.o. son loved them. Less than 3 months later they have been absolutely destroyed. He does wear them almost every day, but we've owned several pair of New Balances before that have all lasted until he's outgrown them. Not these, not even close. Love New Balance kids shoes, but these were duds.
