I love these more than I imagined I would! The unisex sizing offers a roomy toe box with room to wear thick socks, or great for women needing wider width boots. Very comfy right out of the box, but that’s probably because they feel like they run a half size large. They only lace, and that can get a little tedious as I’m used to my lace up boots also having a side zip, but that’s my only criticism here. Came with yellow boot laces as shown and a pair of brown for a more subtle look.

Poorly Made!! I have several pairs of Dr Martens. I’ve bought 2 pairs in the last few months. The quality of both has been questionable. These are so bad, they’re going back. I bought the red/purplish shiny pair and the way the tongue is sewn in it digs into the top of my foot. It’s so bad that I hurts going on and there’s no way I would even try breaking these in. They look great, but no way.

So I guess it's true when they say third time is a charm cause I'm finally happy with my purchase of these Dr Martens (Red Chroma 1460) after trying on 3 pairs!
Before purchasing these I read so many mixed reviews on how the 1460's are supposed to fit and what is expected when breaking them in.
I love how boots look when they're worn. I'm not a fan of the brand new stiff look so I wanted to break my boots in pretty fast.
One common thing I read in almost everyone's review was to break them in the best you'll need to wear at least 2 pairs of socks or extra thick socks! Personally I don't want to buy a pair of boots only to have to wear 2 pairs of socks. If they don't fit my feet with only 1 pair like regular shoes/boots I'm not getting them.
So that's why I'm writing this long and honest review. I normally wear a women's 7 UK 38 Men's 5 in everything! Apparently Dr Martens run big since they're originally made for men.
My feet are narrow and the last thing I want is for my feet to look super long like clown shoes.
My first pair I purchased a size 7. They fit comfy but I had so much room in the toe box and in my heels even with the 2 sock method. My feet shouldn't slip up and down with 2 pairs of socks on. The size 7 honestly felt more like a women's 8. They also made my feet look long.
I went ahead and ordered the size 6. The right foot fit perfectly with only 1 sock, I was happy, but then I tried the left foot and I couldn't even lace them. The top part of the boot where the tongue is sewn had a very stiff leather piece that dug onto the top of my foot making it so painful I didn't even want to attempt to break them in. It left a small bruise on the top of my foot and this is just from trying them on for the most 15 minutes!
I was disappointed and torn. Do I keep the oversized boots that fit good but make my feet look super long or keep the smaller ones that hurt my one foot.
So I ended up calling Zappos asking if I could possibly exchange the size 6 for another in the same exact size and color cause I was thinking the whole tongue thing was a defect.
My third and final pair arrived in the mail and right out of the box both boots felt amazing on my feet and they even look like female boots. No more awkward long feet.
One pair of socks too! I will never understand the whole wear two pairs of socks thing.

They start off feeling a touch small to size and after wearing for only few minutes they become perfect. I bought the Oxblood and this color is super cool with all color jeans and one could dress them if need be because of the deep rich color! B in the D

Everything about these boots are wonderful. The size is true to fit and the quality is great. I have found, in my experience, that the quality of the Malasian/Thai made verisions are just as equal in quality of the Made in England versions. Actually, I haved owned several pair of the 'cheaper' pairs, or the pairs that are made in S.E. Asia, and I have owned two pairs of the English Docs and I have to say in my experience, that the Asian pairs have faired better in the long run. The Englsih Docs are slightly different in the leather that they use, from what I can tell, but the quality of the Asian pairs are just as good if not better. They hold up better in the rain of the PNW and I have found that they stay more confortable and look better in the long run vs the English sets I have owned. If I were you, I'd pay the $150-$165 for the 'cheaper' version vs the $300 + that the English pair will set you back.
I'd also recommend:
Docs, NPS, New Balance, Hoka.

These are my first pair of Docs and overall, I LOVE them. I normally wear a size 11 and have slightly wider feet with a high arch. After reading the reviews, I was unsure of which size to order but ended up going with a 12 as my size was completely sold out. They have a wider footbed and are roomy to the point where I can easily wear two pairs of thick socks with them, but my feet are still stable and I can walk around comfortably without my feet sliding around. I feel like they are maybe half a size too big, but I think my regular size 11 would be a bit too snug. Plus I am absolutely OBSESSED with the fuzzy leopard print combo, so I'm keeping them and never letting them go :) Highly recommend!

I love the look and the craftsmanship.
The only thing I don’t like is that the tongue is SO stiff, it is going to really take some time to break-in. They could use a thinner but same-finished leather for the tongue and I feel like the shoe would fit better overall.
With my shoe inserts I wonder if I should have ordered a size up. Probably would make the break-in period easier, but then might be way too loose after that. ¯\_(?)_/¯
Anyway, I enjoyed relacing them with the classic bar style.

My partner usually wears a 6 in women's fitness shoes so I bought a 6. That was about a size and a half too large. I then ordered a 5 in the 1460 Virginia leather because this shoe wasn't available and it was crazy small. We ended up having to go to a brick and motor store to get the right shoe.

I have a weird foot size. It basically all depends on the size shoe. I went a whole size up, I usually wear a 10. These felt a tad too big but overall comfortable. I wore thick socks and didn't have any issues. I was walking around and standing for around 4 hours and overall they were comfortable. The color is awesome and definitely stood out. I would definitely say check the centimeters on the size before you purchase, that's been the most accurate size guide for me (I usually wear 45 cm and that's the best fit for me) all in all , I'm satisfied with my purchase. The price was a little more than I wanted to spend but the style kept calling me. I am satisfied with my purchase and I would purchase again.

This pascal leather is way better then any other leather docs use. Its thick, but breaks in quick. Use the wonder balsam too. Also docs have a glued in insole now. If you pull it up from the front to back you can get it out. Then put in an orthotic.

These are beautiful boots… I have other pairs of Dr M’s … I’m always a size 3. These were too tight in the toe area… I’m so bummed.. I know going up a size would make them to clunky. The sole is the same size as my others. It’s the upper foot bed that’s smaller….

Disappointing - the color is gorgeous, but the leather feels thin and less durable. Worse, when I slipped my foot in, the seam where the eyelets meet the toe box was digging into my upper front of foot. So uncomfortable. You'd need to go a half size up in these, unless you have zero arch to your foot.

My god why would anyone wear these boots? I've never put on something so uncomfortable in my life! They rubbed at ankles and toes, too stiff on the shinbone, heavy. Ugh. Returned quickly! Whatever Doc Martens may once have been, they are no longer.
