Good cushioning, roominess for toes and love the jazzy design/color. I bought the red. I use to walk.

My wife loves this new pattern design, and size 5 wide perfectly fits her & runs very comfort!

Recently bought these with the thought that I would try trail running in addition to my current practice. Was a little worried that they looked better than they functioned, but I couldn't have been more wrong - these are dreamy to run in on the pavement and gravel and dirt. They're supportive and flexible and light, and encourage me to try new terrain. Highly recommend!

I love these! It is my first time getting shoes just for trail running and wow what a difference!! They are super comfortable and fit me true to size. They gave me great traction on the trails even in some icy areas, plus they look pretty cool!! I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for good trail running shoes!!

I love running around in the woods with my dogs with these puppies on. I have always worn New Balance and love these little trail runners. Highly recommend!

Fit was a bit tight. I have a widish foot with a bunion on my right foot. I had the 6.5 in a Wide. The stitching on the top of the shoe above my toe joint was irritating. Otherwise a comfortable shoe with nice balance of support and flexibility. I liked the design.

Looks red in picture but more orange/coral color in person. Great shoe either way

This is my third Hierro purchase. I found the two earlier generations to be great: excellent Fresh Foam comfort, roomy toe box, great support. I absolutely wore out the two other pair because they were my daily go-to shoes. The v5 has many of the same positive features, and so far, they seem to be more sturdy, a huge plus because I log so many miles each day. I have found, though, the toe box to be too cramped. After about 2 miles, I develop a pain in the balls of both feet caused by excessive constriction. Loosening the laces does not help. Perhaps I should have gone up a half size. I won't give up on future Hierro generations, but I do hope future versions are a bit roomier.

As much as I love this model for hiking in the Arizona mountains, the Hierro v5 was not a good fit for my wife. She loved the design and style, but it just didn't fit her as well as I had hoped!

I like the color schemes of the shoe, but they are a tad bit ill-fitting. When worn for extended period of time, that joint on my big toe begins to hurt. These shoes were bought in a wide width, but they seem just a little bit under a wide. I don't know if they are worth keeping...

These shoes are super comfy and have great grip but they run a little short. Good for walking on flats but if you plan on any trail runs on hilly terrain definitely take a size uo

Most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Unfortunately, had to return because the back heel of the left foot was loose - rubbed the sock down off the foot. Tried heavier sock and some inserts but to no avail. Never had this problem before. Wish it had fit - thought I'd finally found great athletic shoes.

I am a true 7.5, and that is the size I ordered, also ordered a wide due to the development of bunions. Length was great, width was great, but little to no arch support. If they were cheaper, I would have kept them, but for that price, I need a whole lot more support.

I think for the money I would give these a 3.5. they have a thicker soul which is nice because I run on a gravel dirt road. But for some strange reason at about 1.5 miles i get some tingling, which I did not have my previous shoes (Asics). Also The top part of the heel is strangely puffy. I find it uncomfortable to wear no-show socks but it does not rub so much that it blisters it's just weird.

Liked the comfort of the shoes so much, I bought another pair. Liked that one so much, I got an extra pair for later. Glad I tried them on before putting them in the closet, as the right shoe was short. It was an easy return for a new pair. The new pair was still a little short, but I think it will still work

So comfortable! Great ankle support. My only complaint is that the color selection is very ugly.

First time trying the Hierro. I have gone on a couple of 8+ mile walks on varied terrain (concrete, blacktop, gravel, dirt) and they have worked out great. Very comfortable, although the back part goes up higher on my Achilles than I am used to and it will take some getting used to. My big hope is that since this is a trail shoe, the sole will last longer than other road shoes I have used. Time will tell...

I am a moderate, seasonal jogger who walks 2-4 miles a day several times a week and jogs the same when in good condition, doing 2-3 5K's, 10K's spring to fall. I jog/walk for fitness, strength, weight loss and maintenance. 880's are my go-to shoe, but after waiting for new colors (namely purple!) since fall of 2019, I had to get a third pair into rotation. I chose these based on shape and reviews and purchased them online. They are SUPER comfortable. At first, just walking around the house, I wasn't sure: Felt like the shoe was thrusting my foot forward. But once I put them to the test outdoors, there was no more doubt. I have to have good toe wiggle room and simply cannot wear those newer designs with the TOWER, SUPER high heel collars-- they poke into and rub my non-model sized legs. Very uncomfortable. Though this is a "trail" shoe, I mainly stay on pavement and have had no problems. I pull these out first for walk days and half walk/half jog days. I've enjoyed them. Four stars because they're not as sexy looking as the pictures; the shoe's a bit more boxy and non-foot conforming than the pictures show, and they really could use longer laces. But that's not a reason to stay away. They're cushiony, comfy, and sturdy. A great pair to give a try. Your regular New Balance size should be just fine -- it was for me.

This shoe was very comfortable and supportive. The shoe has an extended back heel that just made it look kind of silly and I didn't like the design. I wish the women's shoes were more subtle like men's colors. I would purchase if there were other colors.

I use these sneakers on the treadmill. I need cushioning in the midsole and heel as well as stability. These sneakers do that. The one drawback is the tongue and lace area. The construction of the tongue makes it difficult to lace properly to give the fit and stability needed for running on a treadmill. I need toe room so I usually order a 7 1/2 in a sneaker even though my shoe size is a 7. But this sneaker seemed too big in a 7 1/2 so I returned it for a size 7. I would say for most people it runs true to size.

Very Happy with my purchase, I got them for walking and they did not disappoint at all. Love the design and colors that go with most of my outfits.

Really wanted a walking shoe and these are really feather light, but too hot for 80 degree humid weather. They will be great in the fall and early spring weather. I really like the style and color. Saving for some cool fall weather.

These shoes do have a moderate rocker bottom. This helps with my gait. I have ankle issues, basically they've become army tanks because of weak and torn ligaments. My knees also appreciate the rocker bottoms as they are impacted by my ankle issues. The main issue that remains is how to find shoes that have a rocker bottom but also are stiff enough to give my high arches the support they need. The shoes that come the closest to doing both are my 1300 walking shoes which are also waterproof. Good for winter but prefer lighter shoes that breathe for summer.
