im generally a C width in most shoes. Im pleasantly surprised that the Hierros's D width felt more like a C. I took them out for a rocky , dusty trail run in the desert. The midsole felt plush and stable. I was a little worried about potential rock bruises to the ball of my foot, but the thickness of the midsole prevented that possibility. All in all, i would definitely buy these shoes again.

They feel great. Love the yellow and blue. Can’t even begin to explain how comfy they are. I am also looking forward to the material being open and breathable during the summer. Georgia Heat in the summer can be tough.

Best shoes I have ever owned. All my shoes have been New Balance because I have a high arch and wide foot. This is my first pair of trail runners, which I was hoping would give me better cousin and support. Ive had the shoes for two weeks now and Im very happy with them. They are also light weight. The way they lace up is nice for me, they open wide and make it easy for my fat-wide foot to go in. My last pair of new Balance I had to use a shoe horn to slip my foot into because of they laced up. One reason I have not bought this type of shoe in the past is the price. I find it hard to spend more than $75-$85 dollars for shoes but I do plan to buy another Fresh Foam Hierro v5 to have as backup just incase the shoe gets changed by the time these ware out. The lip on the back is no problem for me, you can use it to kick a shoe off with the other foot pushing on it.

For me these are one of the best pair of running shoes I have ever worn. They are comfortable out of the box, they have incredible cushion and great support and for this aging runner not feeling every single pounding step is delightful. I don't run a lot, but I do ride my bicycle 20+ miles a ride and these shoes are perfect. The shoe has great style too. If I could offer any complaint is that I paid full price.....still very happy.

My first pair of Fresh Foam and they look great. I need a wide and New Balance always has a good selection to choose from. Love the fit, the cushioning, the look and the colors. I can always count on Zappos.

The shoe is great and very comfortable. As a tall guy with a size 17 it can be hard to find shoes that both fit and provide all day comfort while I work on my feet. Would buy again and probably will in another color.

After hiking some challenging trails in AZ with these shoes, I am happy to report that the Hierro v5 model is outstanding! I am a supinator and never thought I would be wearing a trail shoe built just for me. I am 6'6" and wear size 16 and the support and versatility of this shoe is the best! Plus, they look great. These shoes fit perfectly. The sole sticks out beyond the back of the shoe, but they are so comfortable I don't care. I'm a student and I work for a large retail store, so I stand for hours at a time when I'm at work. The shoes offer excellent support and comfort.

The shoes were an excellent fit true to size and width - very comfortable shoe. I am 78 years old and work out three times a week - I found these shoes to meet my every - aging - need. Very comfortable - takes the shock out of walking-running - and a good looking shoe to.

I work on feet all day in hospital, have been wearing Hoka’s for last couple of years and decided to try these New Balance and they are so much more comfortable! Highly recommend them!

I love these shoes, I have been looking for something comfortable to wear and this is like walking on pillows. The style is pretty nice too, I liked the black ones better than the blue, but they feel so good that I may buy another pair

Love the shoe as it is super comfortable. the shoe has a little flap in the back in the sole that it it a little weird if you ask me but overall i like it a lot

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They fit perfectly. NO complaints. Totally impressed.

Have had mixed results with NB, usually due to the toe box. I went with my usual size and the wide with this model and was successful. These are my first of the Fresh Foam series and they are very comfortable. No running but walking and they worked out great. My only issue is the little outcropping from the sole. I have stepped on that and find it a manageable nuisance. May not be an issue to those not as clumsy as I.

Really a great looking shoe in person. I thought I would not like the rubber part that sticks out the back but it oddly may add comfort. I do not have wide feet but do like the extra room in the toe box. I like to have that while running. Many new running shoes are very narrow. These are perfect!

Felt a little bit big for an 11 1/2 but it’s always nice to have a little room in your running shoes

I did not like the way the heel fit. Felt like my sock was bunched up. Tried various socks and the feeling was the same.

wear 13’s in literally every other shoe except dress shoe, and this shoe ran a half size too big. Colors are dopeAF, and it’s the squishiest trail running shoe I ever put on. Feel stable however. Going to go juke a bunch of cops later to really test them out.

Fits just right albeit I do wonder if it were more comfortable if I instead got a half size up. I normally wear this size with Adidas but somehow with NB it seems I should take the half size up. Or perhaps I just have this overly high expectation of how comfortable NB shoes should feel. Still, great style and can't wait to feel how these puppies go on a run.

I really wanted these to work, but the 2E just doesn’t work for me. I normally wear a 4E and believe that if offered in a 4E, I’d buy several pairs!
