Got these for taking the kids out. Didn't want the restriction of boots. These we great when walking through the woods. Nice chunky bottom for muddy areas but not too heavy

I got these for my 11 yr old to wear at camp all summer (all day outside; hiking, mud, water, around hooves animals, climbing ropes course/etc...lots of various activities. The TERREX HYPERHIKER shoe we got for the [2020-21 season?] held up like no other shoe I've ever bought *or owned* myself! We loved them & I'm searching for a bigger pair for this 2022 summer (and my daughter even requested them before I asked, & agreed; unheard of) That being said: We thought we remembered the last pair being marketed as "waterproof" which was a huge bonus due to expected conditions/need. I am not seeing that on the 2022 style...I could be wrong, but I will exhaust searching that option on these before purchasing our 2nd pair. In fact... I just remembered how I said "omg I want a pair of these for myself!!" When we got them in the trendy [adult-friendly] black on black design...maybe I'll order 2. :D
