I wanted slippers with arch support for my flat feet, and I got them. My feet have never been happier. I was so confused by the various descriptions of Haflinger slippers as I was deciding which to order. Here’s what I discovered: there is a difference in both support and in fit in various styles of slippers even though they look the same in pictures. The cork bottom shoes are what you need if you require strong arch support (which I do and which is the only reason I’m willing to pay this much for slippers). The arch support in these slippers is very much like what my Birkenstock’s feel like. My feet are so happy in them. The soft sole felt bottom slippers have some milder arch support, but it is not nearly as rigid or strong as the cork bottom styles. As for sizing... I’m a US women’s size 9. My feet are of average width, but they are definitely not narrow. In European sizing I’m a 39.5. In most shoes I go up to a 40 rather than down to a 39, but in Birkenstock’s I own and wear both. As I was reading reviews of various Haflinger slippers, many people said the slippers run a size large and order down. That is NOT the case here. That is true of the unisex slippers because they come in a men’s width (D). These come in women’s width (B). No need to size down. I ordered the 39 thinking the boiled wool will stretch, but my middle toe hits the front inside both shoes. I can wear them both without socks or with a thinner sock which helps in colder times. A thicker sock makes them uncomfortable however. My tie rubbing on the front is just a slight annoyance; not bad enough to send them back. So, my recommendation: if you are a woman with feet of average width, these will probably be just right for you. But, if you’re male or a female with an extra wide foot, try the unisex slipper rather than these. As for style: these fit and look like a European clog. The boiled wool upper is nice and thick. The lining on the insole is boiled wool cut into two separate pieces. I have no issues with the two piece insole, even though others have complained about it. The Haflinger logo is stitched down on the insole. I feel it but it does not bother me. I ordered the “chili” color. It’s a very dark red color. I am not a huge fan of the “lo ve” stitched onto the outside because it makes them look very much like slippers and not shoes in my opinion (I liked the idea that I could get away with wearing slippers in public occasionally). So why order these then? Because they were the least expensive Haflinger in women’s width with a hard cork sole that were available in my size when I received my Zappos coupon. Overall: my feet are so happy with these slippers. Two thumbs up from me.

Love love love these slippers!! Exactly what I needed to provide support to my aching feet while spending the majority of my time at home. Worth the price - never thought I’d spend this much on slippers but after wearing them for a week I would do it again and highly recommend!

SOOOOO CUTE. I may wear these outside the house. I got the navy with the red LOVE. I'm 9 1/2 and my normal size 40 fit me perfectly.

I have low arches and spend alot of time on my feet at home cooking, cleaning, etc. These are stylish and provide more substantial arch support than the Halflinger flat slippers probably due to the cork sole. Toe box feels good. Great for my back and knees!

Awesome slippers! Goodbye U**s whom I’ve loved for some time but whose quality has dipped in recent years. Not sure why I’ve never tried these before but they are fabulous. Terrific arch support and warm and comfy. Buy them!

This is my second pair of Haflinger cork-soled slippers (my first pair lasted for years). I need something sturdy and comfortable to wear around the house due to plantar fasciitis, and these are fantastic. Maybe a little too comfortable. More than once I've left the house with them on.

This is another well made, comfortable Haflinger Slipper. I just ordered a similar style, so I am returning this slipper. I thought I was ordering the "flatter" sole bottom. I would certainly have kept this slipper with the more durable sole if I did not already have one like it. Perfect example of WHY I love the Zappos return policy!

Very karge, fabric could be thicker, liked the firmer sole, but it was too large.

The most comfortable slipper for indoor and light outdoor (to the mailbox, enjoying a glass of wine on the terrace), I've had in a long time.

Oh my sweet comfort! The arch support in these shoes are AMAZING! I needed some sturdy slippers and these absolutely fit the Bill! Nicely made, super comfortable and the support my high arches have been crying for!!!

These were a full size too small, so I recommend sizing up. Sadly, they are not available in half sizes. That said, the arch support is on point, they are stinking cute and will keep my feet cozy for years.

This shoe is true to size, comfort and adorable design. I have owned 6 pair of this style and they are wonderful for someone that needs extra arch support but still wants a slip on. The design with toe to toe makes these a bit more fun. Thank you Haflinger.

This are fantastic. Very expensive, so it’s the only minus, but very comfortable. I like that they stay orderless for a long time :) I wear 7.5-8 and size 38 fit well

Love these! I work from home and use a standing desk all day. These are great- comfy and supportive.

I originally selected US size “8” which is my usual street shoe size. When I received the box, I learned US 8 mapped to a 39. This was a size too large. I returned the first pair and ordered a 38, which fit perfectly. I didn’t order this size originally because the sizing chart mapped it to size 7 1/2 on the web site. My advice is to use the European vs. US sizing chart to determine the right size.

Fractured my toe and needed a hard bottom shoe since the hospital issued one was 5 sizes too big. This shoe works perfectly. It fits both my swollen and un-swollen foot (feet?). And people tell me they are super cute!.

Lovely slipper, unfortunately, I have flat feet and must return them, because it hurts my "arch". Would love to get these without any arch.

These are comfortable and so easy to slip into. I wear them as an outdoor shoe. When I look down and see Love I smile inside.

Instant love! Great support (I have flat feet and was experiencing back pain), super cute and made me instantly happy when they arrived and I put them on. These are just around-the-house slippers, but I might get another pair.

I've had these for a couple of years now, am still very happy with them, and anticipate that they'll last a good long while. I bought them when I was staying in a chilly house that had painfully cold floors, and they really did the trick there. But, they're still comfortable back in my overheated apartment, and even in the summer. That's the beauty of wool. Also because they're wool, they don't get sweaty and are slow to get stinky. The shoes are sturdy and comfortable, and they've molded to my feet over time. Both the wool and the cork have held up to near-constant wear for two years, and still look good. I got the navy blue with red, and though I was worried the "love" appliqué would be too cutsie, it turned out that I, um, love it. It's happy and surprisingly elegant. Size-wise, I'm 7-1/2 or 8 medium, and the 38 was the right length. Before I bought these, I'd read that boiled wool slippers can run very wide and might widen further. They were indeed too wide to wear without socks, which I didn't want to do. So, I replaced the insoles with some extra-thick wool felt insoles from German Slippers online, where I was able to find them with red on one side and blue on the other. Perfect. The shoes have not widened any further over time. They're easily hand-washable, too. I made another adjustment that turned out to be temporary. I'm most comfortable with high arches, so to the existing arch support, I added a little height with thin layers of wool arch-support pads under the insole. I found them on Amazon--they come thick, but they're made so you can peel off layers. But, as the slippers molded to my feet, I found I didn't need them anymore. All in all, this was money very well spent, even with the cost of the extra insoles. I have never had slippers that even approached these in quality.

I have struggled with foot pain for the past few weeks, and feel very grateful to have found such a comfortable slipper! Thanks to the excellent arch support in this Lovely, I'm feeling better.

I have purchased several of this style over the years, and I couldn't love them more. They are a bit on the wider side, which works for me. My foot is just a little wider than the average C width. I have plantar fasciitis, nerve damage in one foot, a bad back, and I work from home. These slippers are my "house shoes," and they work just great!

Have worn many hours a day since COVID and am really glad to have them. Going to buy a new pair today.
