Unlike the previous reviewer, I think this bag is perfect for a laptop. I travel a lot and have a 13” laptop. It fits perfectly and the straps are strong enough to hold everything and comfortably along with anything else you carry, iPad, makeup bag, etc. The English Saddle color is beautiful. The leather is nice and doesn’t scratch easily. I accidentally got it wet the first week I received it and when it dried, I wasn’t able to see any water marks. Yay! The long strap is adjustable but thin and will dig a little if the bag is too heavy. But it doesn’t bother me because the functionality of the bag is amazing. And I live the simple design but with a solid zipper top. The inside pockets are great too. Love this bag and highly recommend any Madewell product. Love the construction of this bag. It’s good quality for sure.

I love the simplistic design and functionality of Madewell bags and jumped at the chance to buy this one when it was on sale. I loved the style, roominess, zip top closure, ability to carry with handles or adjustable crossbody strap. The body of the bag was nice quality, but as with all Madewell bags, I wouldn't pay full price for them (I always get mine on sale). The handles and strap on this particular bag just did not feel substantial enough for the size of the bag. I had no problem fitting my 12" laptop, a couple of folders, wallets, etc in the bag but the thin, narrow handles felt like they were straining under the weight. If the handles & strap we a little wider and thicker, I would have definitely kept the bag but I returned it because I was specifically looking for a work bag to carry my laptop in.

What I ordered and what I received are completely different. I ordered a Madewell large tote and I received a fake knock off!!!

Love this bag! Perfect size. great quality, i have used it for three years at work and the past few months as a small diaper bag - works for riding my bike to meetings, as well.

Love love love this bag. It fits my binder and laptop for work. Sometimes I can put my lunch in it as well with all the other items listed.

I did purchase this on sale, so that’s why I’m keeping it. Otherwise the bag quality is alright. It’s quite thin and flimsy, not structured. It will fit a laptop, but there is not actual laptop pouch or compartment. The bag itself is lightweight and simplistic, so if that’s what you’re looking for then this will do. Overall, it’s nothing special. However, for the price I purchased it at I will keep it.
