Fab boots! I have wide calfs & wide feet. Purchased the 8W (I'm in 8 in boots) and the pair fit well right out of the box. Comfortable, and they look great too. Have been getting tons of compliments. Roomy enough to wear jeans with, but have been mostly pairing with fun leggings. Purchased the grey (which has a more taupe grey tone than blue grey tone to it). If I didn't already have a black pair of boots, I'd probably invest in those too!

The boots fit well, even for my super-wide calves. The fabric inset on the back is a huge help. Material is nice and supple so the width on the boot itself works even though I am a E/EE and the W for this is listed as C. Could use more (any?) arch support, but that's not really a deal-breaker for me. I like that the top of the boot hugs the calf. Many extra wide boots flare out at the top and look weird, but not these.

I wear a. 9 1/2M, but ordered a 10 so that I can wear socks with these boots. They are a little larger than I would prefer, but decided to keep them anyway. THEY ARE SO COMFORTABLE! I wear them with my jeans tucked in, and still have some room. I have a difficult time finding comfortable shoes that are supportive and attractive, but these really answer my needs! BTW....Zappos rocks!

These boots were my third try at getting the calf wide enough, and they are great. Your customer service rep was so helpful in applying my settlement discount to each order until we got this right.

Having been born with my father’s muscular calves.. I was so frustrated that even after losing 50 lbs I still needed a wide calf boot, but I’m very happy with these boots. I’m 5’1” and they are fill height but not too tall. My calf measures 16 in and I can wear these with slim jeans. They may be a little wide with tights but they’ll do fine for the price. Very happy with the purchase.

I tried these because I don't like anything tight on my calf. I have muscular legs and I was thinking the wide calf boots might be the answer. I didn't realize that there was a stretchy part, so I think the regular width calf would been fine. The calf circumference was too generous for me, but the foot fit great. I ordered 8 Wide and I found these to be very comfortable on my wide toebox feet. Overall they are very classy looking and I think these could be a very comfortable and stylish option. I may try reordering them in the regular calf size. Thank you, Zappos!

I like these boots enough to keep them BUT (and you knew there would be a "but"). At the ankle, the tab of leather rubs the back of my leg and irritates it. I'll try a thicker sock next wearing.

I love this boot - OMG, it is well made comfortable and fits my chunky calf. Looks really good on you can dress up or down.

I tried probably 25 different wide calf pairs of boots and settled on these. They have a wide footbed which was perfect. The height of the boot reached almost to my knee - perfect. The little bit of sweater material along the back of the boot shaft provides perfect stretch to fit my calf without being too tight or too large and they actually make my calf look slimmer. I wore them all day and the footbed is comfortable without any extra help which I usually need.

These are wonderful and very comfortable! I have somewhat wide feet and toebox and 17 inch calf. They fit nicely over jeans and are great to walk in. I would have preferred leather but the boot itself is great.

I love these boots! I wasn't sure if I would like the fabric on the back of the boot, but it grew on me. The boots are comfortable, can be dressed up or down and they were the smallest of the wide calf boots I tried on, at about 16 1/2 inches in diameter. My calves are 16', so I have plenty of room to wear with tights or skinny jeans. I also have shorter legs, and these hit at the right place for me, right under my knee, where it's most slender. I bought them in black, and would buy them in brown if they were available.

I've had these about two months now, and still really like them. They're beautiful and I love that I finally have a pair of boots that go over my calf. I'm 5'8", I have really wide calves, and I wear an 11W, needless to say I've never found a pair in a traditional store that fit. So far they've weathered fairly well and I tend to be rough on shoes. My only complaint is like other reviewers have said is they tend to slouch more over time. It doesn't look terrible, just not what they looked like when I first bought them, and it is a little annoying to have to tug at them every once in a while.

Because of the height of the heel, there is some arch lift/support. Because of the knit back which allows a little more room in addition to the boot being a wide calf, there is some stretch which over the course of the day, causes the shaft to scrunch a little at the ankle. Not a problem for me, but it does change the integrity of the look of a long boot shaft. I like the boots, wore them with leggings (which they actually fit over!) and a cashmere sweater and black blazer to a baby shower. I got compliments on the total look, the boots being the most complimented.

Finally a boot that’s truly a 16+ inch circumference. Wore them around the house and noticed they started to get a bit too baggy around the ankles after a while. Not sure if I’m going to keep them. However they are well made and look nice even though they’re not leather.

These seemed a little smaller and a little narrower than I expected. The calf did not seem to be as wide as I expected.

I’m not sure why but these shoes rub against the back part of my heel/ankle causing a blister. They are very stiff feeling. Unfortunately I am going to have to return them. They’re cute but don’t have any arch support and rub oddly on the back of my heel leading into my ankle.
