My son loves these, doesn't slip on Sandy and rocky trails anymore. Easy to put on himself.

These were a gift for my nephew and he likes them, I chosen my favorite shoe outdoor shoe brand for him because I knew what he would like and loves being outdoors as much as I do.

I bought these for my 8 year-old, and he's really picky about his shoes. No complaints from him at all after wearing these in Zion National Park. He climbed, he ran, he jumped in a river, and kept going.

My son loves these shoes -- he always wants to wear them. They are easy to put on and take off, and the bright colors are attractive.

We bought these shoes for our NH visit. They were comfortable right out of the box and my daughter wore them on a long hike right away. Great for jumping over rocks and balancing while stepping through rivers. She was able to get them on and off quickly and easily herself. Fit true to size.

These are the run and jump like a super hero kind of shoes. At least that has been what my son has been doing for over two weeks now. He also wears them for our daily two mile walk/hikes to get us out of the house for awhile. I wanted shoes for when my son started school, but he out grew his old shoes and needed them sooner. I was hoping for comfortable and well made shoes. So far these shoes have reached every expectation. It might be helpful to know, my son is 10 years old, super rough on shoes, his feet are wide and flat. We bought the orange and gray shoes in a size 6. The shoes already looked wide, so we just got the regular instead of the wide shoes.

My son has wide feet and it is so nice to find quality shoes that have a wide option. My son and my husband will only wear Merrells.

It's all part of my master plan to convince my two boys that they love hiking as much as their dad. I appreciate that the shoe is comfortable and washable. Thanks for making great shoes.

We ordered these since my son wears through shoes quickly. He has wide feet so we ordered the wide. They fit ok but aren't as wide as other shoe brand wides and since Merrell's seem wide to start with, we though they would be wider. Great shoes though.

I bought these for my grandson. The quality of these shoes make them stand out. I told my grandson, people will remember you because of your nice shoes!

We haven't done any long hikes (yet) due to the lockdowns, but on short walks and light trail use my daughter likes them. They're easy to take on and off as well but still look like lace-ups.

My 11 year old stepson has been wearing the Merrill Trail Chaser for a couple of years. When I tried to order another pair of Trail Chasers I couldn't find them in his size and ordered these when they came up as available. I was a little worried when I took them out of the box, they seemed heavier and stiffer than the Trail Chasers, but my step son loves them. He thinks they are really comfortable and he loves how sturdy they are. So happy with this purchase.

My granddaughter never complains about her shoes hurting when we go for long walks. And she doesn't have to worry about tying her shoes.These shoes are sturdy and comfortable.

Wow, wow, wow. I have worn merrells myself for a few years now, but never considered them for my son. I think I had a tough time warranting the cost as he grows so quick. We were blowing thru others shoes so quick, tho that I ended up buying multiple pairs a season. My son loves that he can put them on himself the strap is easy to use and the width on the shoe leaves room for their little toes to spread and give good balance.

My son, grandson and daughter-in law love Merrell shoes. My son says it is the only brand that fits (size 12) and doesn't hurt his feet. They hike a lot and the shoes hold up really well. My 8 year old grandson will not wear anything else.

These have held up well with my son except for the strap loop. I wish Merrell would switch out the plastic Velcro strap loop for something durable. We have broken the loop on three pairs of the kids shoes. I've found a $.25 replacement D ring from the hardware store fixes the issue but it's annoying that they can't be made with better materials so I don't have to fix them myself. These are some of the only wide width shoes that have velcro straps I can find.

I bought these for my grandson he loves them. He said they were comfy and was very happy that he was wearing the same brand shoes that his grandmother wears. No complaints at all.

Good stable shoes. My 4 year old really enjoys them, says they are "light,grippy, fast and feel good." He did complain the first few days before they were broken in but now he loves them. Only thing of note is they are fraying around the top velcro area after only about 1 1/2 months or so of use. They are his main shoe so it makes sense but the rest of the shoe is strong and shows no signs of real wear yet. Used for climbing rocks, walking on trails, school playground and city street walking. Overall they are great shoes so far.
