My second pair, completely wore out the first to the point of holes in the top. While this body doesn?t run, the Ariel?s soft top and wide toe box is comfortable for my bunion and feet wrecked by years in pointy toed heels. They also fit nice and snug against a narrower heel and help with my over pronation.

My doctor recommended these shoes. I was pretty skeptical and then I put them on. I haven't been without foot pain for years, but these shoes within a week made it possible

Brooks tennis shoes run small so I always order one size larger in this shoe. I love the Ariel from Brooks. I have bad feet, have had foot surgery in the past, and I wear these all day every day for their support. My only wish is that all the fun colors of the other Brooks shoes were offered in Ariel and Beast. Just because I have crappy feet doesn't mean I wouldn't enjoy fun colors. The only colors that are readily available in supportive Brooks are black or grey.

I had surgery for PTTD and other procedures. These not only look great but have the stability in a shoe I need. 4 stars for comfort ONLY because I just got them, might be better than 4 stars. My Pt is impressed with them too. Bought my normal size MAY Have been able to go a half size smaller but I think that would be a mistake. Very happy ! Thanks Brooks and Zappos

I have been wearing the Adreneline for years and the past 2 times I got them, I was not happy with the way they felt and fit. Also, the shoelaces they use on them now are terrible. I took the sneaker quiz to see what Brooks recommended and this was one of the sneakers that came up. I was a little skeptical at first because of the weight of the sneaker, but I must say, I am really loving them. Very supportive and cushioned and the laces are so much better. I have flat feet and knee issues and this sneaker so far has been good for both of those items.

I love this shoe and the colors! I hope you don't phase this color combination out. The colors are neutral to wear with everything. I am not please with the other color combo's of this shoe. I wouldn't buy them. This shoe is comfortable, supportive, & looks good.

I took 1/2 larger than my normal shoe size with double wide width, and they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had. Only my forefoot is wide but I don't have any trouble with the heel being snug enough with this double wide size.

I'm actually not a runner, I stand most of my workday on a concrete floor. This shoe is awesome for this challenge.

Surprised I had to go up 1/2 size to get the perfect fit in a Brooks shoe. Glad I did as I love the Ariels for the solid, yet cushy, support. As soon as my foot touched the floor I could feel the stability. I am dealing with arthritis, bunions and a neuroma in my feet so the comfort level for all of those challenges are great---but no foot pain after all day wear. Did not even have to change the insole. I wear medium weight socks, walk on pavement, and am in my late 70s.
I'd also recommend:

The shoes are so comfortable, and the pain from my plantar fasciitis has pretty much disappeared. I bought a second pair also.

I ordered 11.5 wide, but it is too snug and small, therefore I will reorder a size 12 extra wide. Love this support shoe, as it keeps my ankles from collapsing which has caused my feet and ankles so much pain this past year. I have flat feet and at age 63 I am in real trouble. I am returning to supportive shoes and firmer shoes, which I need and love. Can't stand what so many shoe companies are doing making these cushy soles which do not support the feet and ankles that only cause further damage to our poor bodies. If I could suggest one important this is that I wish you made this shoe in a 8mm foot drop. Seriously.

These are great for my feet and hip and back! I have collasped arches, flat feet, and at age 63 I am in trouble. These shoes are stablizing my ankles and relieving me from sore hip and back. I want them firm and I am glad they are firm yet soft in some places but firm where it needs to be. I am so sick of shoes with this squishy good for nothing feel in the shoe that only causes problems for me feet, ankle and up the line. Stay firm, Ariel 20, and thank you.

I love my Ariel 20 so much that I just purchased 2 more pairs! Because of my wide feet, I had been wearing NB 1540s, but their quality and fit no longer work for me. Turns out this was a good thing, because now I've found the Brooks quality and the Ariel 20! These have to be one of the most comfortable trainers/runners I've had. They're lightweight, breathe, and have a comfortable toe box. I especially like how STABLE they make me feel. With an ankle held together with metal, I really appreciate footfalls that land without wobble. The sizing guide was right-on, recommending I order a half size larger than my usual size. Thank you, Brooks!

I love the aerial 20. My doctor recommended them to me after a surgery that I had. I also have arthritis and they seem to be the only shoes I can wear right now I love that they have guard rails in them and they're very sturdy and they keep my feet in position, but not uncomfortably.

I bought these shoes to help with my plantar fasciitis. They took a few times to get used to, but once I did, they are fine. I like the color. The fit is great. I am currently in a boot. I hope the right one doesn't get worn out while I am wearing the boot on my left foot! Lol!
