The Brooks 2020 Beast is a great shoe for my walking exercise. It's light weight, very supportive and has excellent traction. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a comfortable shoe to walk in.

Even though I am not a runner, I have worn Beasts for years. They are the only shoe that offers the kind of support my feet need. The Beast 20 lives up to the reputation already established. I recommend them highly.

These are great shoes! The support is amazing and they?re very comfortable. I?ve only used them for walking long distances, but I?m happy with them and well buy them again. They?re made well, so ot might be a while.

I have been getting a pair annually for at least a decade. I get them for the unrivaled support and this year?s version is definitely the best yet. If you need lateral support, there?s really nothing like a Brooks Beast.

Beast 20 is a good shoe. I?ve had multiple pairs of The previous version of Beast. This version is noticeably lighter, but unfortunately has sacrificed motion control and support. Still a good shoe, but I don?t think runners purchasing this shoe are too interested in saving a few ounces over motion control

Preferred previous models with reinforcement in the toe area. Using just thin fabric does not provide the support Brooks is known for.

-Product was above what I expected ...pleased ...very comfortable. -But I must add, the Staff is superb. They helped me through the process of selection. We communicated on a regular basis; frequently multiple times per day. -Shhh... don't tell them I am a heavy older gentleman that walks a lot and runs very little. But I am getting better at running longer distances. They treated me like I was an experienced runner! -I'm looking to purchase a 2nd pair. Brooks Beast '20 rules...

The "tongue " can be slightly longer, so that I can hold on and pull it easily to place it in the proper place.

I'm 72 and while not a runner I do spend time on our treadmill, walking outdoors, stationary biking, and of course normal daily activities. My physician recommended Brooks shoes many years ago when I was dealing with plantar fasciitis. It cleared up within weeks of wearing the Brooks Beast. I've tried other brands of shoes but always return to the Brooks Beast. I need the extra wide fit of the Beast which fits me perfectly. I wish my local Brooks dealer carried my size but online ordering works for me. More color choices would be appreciated.

I have been wearing the Beast for years. I have posterial tibial tendon dysfunction in my left foot. The Beast is the only shoe I have tried on that would stabilize my ankle motion. I recently had new orthotics prescribed that are somewhat thicker than the previous ones. The new model Beast (20) is good. It is lighter, but still has the needed stability control. However, it seems a bit narrower than the previous model. I have to spread the laces out to maximize the space in the shoe. Otherwise, the balls of my feet and my toes get numb.

My husband is an athlete in his 70's who enjoys walking on a daily basis at a local outside school track. He tried the Ghost 12, but had run in the Beast many years ago. He loves them!

I like the fit and feel of the shoe. They have been a favorite of mine for years. I would give them 5 stars if the design wasn't so bland.

I have been wearing the Beast for many years as it was always marketed/designed as Brook's most supportive and sturdy shoe for stability, arch support, over pronation, etc. Until now, the Beast has lived up to the promise. The new version 20 is a big disappointment. Brooks seems to have gone the way of many manufacturers who can't decide whether to make truly supportive and healthy footwear or sell out to the house shoe trend; form over function. The immediate differences in the 20 is the lack of arch support, stability/foot guidance, and the material is so soft and stretchy thin that if the other qualities did exist it wouldn't matter because the foot would slide around and be out of place. The inadequacies cause stress on the foot and I would not trust it for any length of mild walking or otherwise. In previous versions your foot was cradled and supported properly; you could run, step or hike with confidence and no pain or stress. Brook's shoes, materials and craftsmanship stood above other manufacturers before now; I hope they will reconsider bringing back at least the same qualities that existed in Beast 18.

My bff has super wide feet, is overweight and is trying to get in shape. He is about 300pds. He uses these on his walks and loves them. He has commented that he appreciated the wide sizes Brooks offers.

I've been wearing Brooks Beast exclusively for over 10 years. Except for one bad re-design, I think was in 2014(?), I've always loved them. I never even considered any other shoe. But in the 2018 version, the material on top of the toe box seemed to get thinner and for the first time I had my toe go through one pair. And I can see in the second pair where the same thing is only a matter of a little more time. Both of these pairs were purchased new in 2019. Unfortunately, the 2020 version is even worse. They do not seem as comfortable and supportive as past ones. The worst part is the toe box has shrunk. Instead of buying a second pair, I've gone back to mixing in one of my old pairs of the 2018's. The one pair that my toe hasn't completely come through yet, until I can find another brand. Very disappointing. I understand you're trying to make them lighter, but compromising quality and fit is not the answer. I guess we had a good run together. Good bye and good luck.

Like them very much! Like the Support and comfort they now provide to me. I am 71 years of age, former Marine Officer, long time Avid runner, now a power walker, averaging 20,000 to 24,000 steps a day! I purchase these for comfort and quite happy with them!
