As an extra-wide foot geezer with developing neuropathy, I tried this shoe which is outside my comfort zone. The fit was snug and my choice of 11.5 turned out too short. I was in this for the support and breathability, which was outstanding, but the length and tightness of the 4E width didn't address my neuropathic need. It's a great shoe but not for wide feet like mine. Perhaps a 6E option would be better, if ever available, and I would certainly entertain Brooks in the future if those came available on shoes with max support. I certainly appreciate your policy of testing them out first.

I recently replaced these with the Adrenaline GTS. I may have ordered the wrong size. I liked the Beast, but Adrenaline feel better.

Would like for the heel of the shoes, being a little more conducive to slipping in and out of with bending inward.

after trying both the Beast & Adrenaline from you the Adrenaline felt more comfortable. Everyone is different.

Been wearing the Beast for many years (more than 10) mainly for walking and daily use. They are the absolute best shoes if you need support. Before finding the beat I tried a lot of shoes due to foot pain and now the Beast has made walking fun again. My only comment about the new models is the top of the toe box needs to be larger and have more protection because men have strong toe nails.

Maybe a 5 star over a little time. Senior citizen review. Felt a little too snug compared to current same shoe, size and width (i.e. it's a Beast '20 also). It was just time for a replacement of the same shoe (about a year old). I'm a walker, not a jogger/runner. BUT, this has been a wonderful shoe in the past and expect it to loosen and feel like my old same shoe in short time. This is my third pair of Beast '20 and have been using the earlier versions for at least 5 years. Size 14 4E ...not one of the selections in this review.

Good fit, good support. Wears out in the toe faster than previous models.

I've discovered that the same size fits differently depending on style. You should evaluate this inconsistency and improve quality control.

This shoe is very sturdy and well made. Could use a little more cushion but it is not rated as most cushion. The heel of the show is a little flimsy so could use a loop to help with getting it on but not a show stopper given the other benefits this should provides.

Great support shoe for heavily pronated people. Just two negatives. The lacing system very difficult to modulate and needs redesign. Top heel padding migrates to inside shoe when entering. That said I'm happy with them.

They are more than I expected. Much more comfortable than the Addiction and Adrenaline series.

Great shoes. Very sturdy. Quality product. I just wished it came in a 13.5

This is a shoe I used many years ago to good effect for racing and so went back to it now needing a bit more support. (Currently fighting off Plantar fasciitis. ) The D width is a bit snug and stylistically speaking, I don't love the white bottom. (Once dirty, always dirty) For the very high price, I hope that they last to make that pricing seem reasonable, which it currently does not. Plenty of room for my high instep, which I like. Laces could be a bit longer to accommodate that and fancy lace patterns.

it is a big shoe for support. the heal seems flimsy. i know it is done so shoe is lighter but it is not user friendly. other than that it is comfortable and great support for bigger runners or those needing support also seems that need to buy 1.5 to 2 sizes larger than regular size with Brooks

The Beast has been my shoe of choice for over seven years. I use orthopedic pelite supports and the shoes are the most supportive that I have used.

I bought these based on the information from the Brooks site. I was under the impression that they would have the best cushion overall. I have to were inserts in my shoes, so when they arrived and I noticed that the extra cushion was a thicker insert I felt let down. While I am happy over all with the shoe, for my situation I will not be buying them again. I would rather but a less expensive model and use my inserts and save the money. I have been buy Brooks for the past 10 years now and I am very happy with the product even my foot doctor was impressed with them. I would love to have a bit more cushion in the soles if possible. Thanks.

Love this shoe. Been wearing it for 7+ years. Always stable and comfortable.
