Love Brooks shoes. I have ~6 pairs of various models I wear regularly. Love these shoes. I wear them 5 days a week x 8-9 hours a day, 95% indoors. About 5-6,000 steps a day. I just returned my 2nd pair of Beast 20's for the same defect. After 2 1/2 months both pairs started developing a hole in the fabric of the top toe section of the right shoe. Please reinforce this area! I really want to buy them again! Thanks!

Dump the Beast! I have worn the Brooks Beast for years and had them in every color, but this is half the shoe of the Brooks Beast 18. No support and they completely ditched the inside "roll bar" sturdiness that the 18 had. Very disappointing and looks like a need to find a new running shoe.

The Beast 20 doesn't last as long as previous versions. After about 2 months, feels like I'm walking on naked ground. Also, please add more colors to the Beast. There's only 2 choices, which are drab. New Balance and Hoka have more choices in colors than you. Colors are in. Let's jazz it up some now.

Positive: + I like this design similar to the Ghost Series. Negative: - I don't like that Brooks dropped 4E sizes on the Ghost Series (Size 11) for the color I had. - I don't like these shoes for long use : the backing is tight and may get in the way. - Lower Footing feels cheaper than the Ghost Series but seems to hold up so far with hard work conditions.

I have been buying Brooks Shoes for the last several years since discovering them on a trip to my home town and referred by a friend.

Great shoe! Only problem is 3 months in toe area worn. Six months in shoe is pretty much ripped out in front area, no holes yet, but fabric ripped through till plastic showing. Bottoms still good, upper good, comfort still excellent. I've bought Brooks Beast almost every year. The last 5-6 years this shoe has lasted a lot longer and been more durable. But this THE most comfortable shoe I have ever worn perhaps, in the top 3 I believe, that said, if the fabric were more durable. But it would lead to issues of unbreathability and sweating and more weight. I like no plastic. But 6 months and $170 bucks , they're almost ready for retirement. My feet kill shoes when I can wear them cus I am disabled and have a CPD or Pain Disorder, and flat flat feet and broken ankles! These shoes are too worn for the time period I've had them. But worth every penny

They are nice but not as good as the old beast 18 use to be. They are not as sturdy and this is especially noticeable in the heel. It wants to fold in on itself when you put the shoe on if you don't put 2 finger in the back to support it. I've had these shoes for almost 3 month and they are starting to break down some my old ones would last me a good year. For someone who has terrible feet and has to wear a men's extra wide cause women's extra wide is still to narrow it's just frustrating.

I am usually not impressed enough with running shoes to do a review, but I am going to make an exception with these. I do mostly power walking with run intervals, and it is rare to find a running shoe that is good for both. I'm 63 and as I am getting older, my hips and knees are feeling it more, so I decided to give these a try due to the stability features. Took them out of the box, slapped them on, and did a little over 5 miles of power walk/run intervals on very hilly paved paths. I was very impressed because I did not feel the hip/knee discomfort that I normally feel when doing this kind of workout. They seemed to guide me into a better form without making it feel like they where forcing me into a better form. The cushioning seems perfect for both walking and running. I hate shoes that are too cushy, and I hate shoes that are too bouncy, especially for power walking, because it makes my joints feel like they are fighting against the cushioning. These shoes feel perfect for power walking, and perfect for running too. Nice and firm, but at the same time, plenty of cushioning. Brooks... I don't know how you do the cushioning for these shoes, but "PLEASE"... "DO NOT"... "EVER" change it. I have only done one workout in them so far, but they impressed me so much that I wanted to write this review.

Mediocre, in appearance and feel.

I have used the beast for 10 years, and loved them. Never had an issue. Loved the support. I immediately felt the difference putting on these shoes. It was like my feet were missing something. (hint: the support) Now i will have to try to find another shoe to run in. Thanks Brooks.
