Love the Glycerin 18. I have been running the last few years in the older versions of this shoe and been very happy with it. I use this for my outdoor running and like the Cushioning and the support. I like that I can buy it in 2E as I have found that, as I age, I have needed a wider shoe. (I am male, age 69 and run 3 days a week, both outdoors on hills and indoors on a treadmill. I have been running for about 50 years and though I have run several marathons, I have only run shorter races in the past several years.) I would recommend this shoe.

I have been running in the Glycerin's for several hundred miles and so far they are very comfortable and holding up well. Would buy again.

Love the shoes. Great style, super comfortable. Probably the most comfortable shoes I’ve worn. They are quite cushy compared to what I’ve worn before, but I was looking for more protection for my knees. I recommend these if you’re looking for a smooth ride with good cushion. Quality shoes.

I've been buying the Glycerin design for 3 years straight now. No other shoe has been as beneficial and reliable to my training as this one.

I had to order a larger size than I normally do. And a wide width. The shoes themselves are awesome, once you get the size down.

Back to Brooks after a few adventures with other brands. I run about 20 to 30 miles a week and have had some difficulties with patellar tendonitis (heal striker and supinator as well). Cushioning is key to allow me to continue running now that I'm over 50. Previously, I ran in the Brooks Transcend but found the arch support changed in successive upgrades to the shoes. I switched to the Hoka One One Clifton. Great support but led to problems with my supination given the tall profile of the sole. I also tried the On Cloud Stratus...returned to Zappos. Be careful with these as the width is atypical and the tread allows for rocks and acorns (yes, we have very active squirrels!) get stuck resulting in ankle twists. Also, shoelaces matter. The ONs have very thin ones that I found difficult to tighten. Because of the narrow lacing slots, replacement wasn't an option. Using the Brooksrunning.com shoe selector, the Glycerin came up and I decided to give them a try (with exceptional flexibility from Zappos...the trial run period is why I continue to buy from Zappos). The fit was exceptional. I tend to order 1/2 size up and these allowed for good toe room and perfect width. The arch support is moderate so may not be the right choice for over pronators. After 30 miles this week, the cushioning is better than the other shoes listed in this review. Knee pain has lessened and the support provided by the guiderails has kept me from supinating. As an older runner needing more support, I'm very pleased with the Glycerins.

Using this shoe for peripheral neuropathy comfort. Feels and works great if ordered one size larger and extra wide so it can be built up with memory foam and neuropathy insoles. Need the width for room in the toe box.
I'd also recommend:
Hush Puppy Gus for Neuropathy also used the same way

My 4th our of Glycerins. Just 25 miles in but love the 18's. 15's were my favorite but these may replace them and they are way more similar to the old 15's. Firmer but still soft and a little more structure then the last 2 models. We'll see how the new outsole holds up but LOVE the feel of these.

This is my third pair of Glycerins (second pair of Glycerin 18) and I love all of them. Right now this pair goes along with my other pair of Glycerin 18 and I alternate between them each day. They are just as wonderful as my other pair with the added bonus that the darker color doesn't show dirt quite the way the white pair does. Very cushiony feel though it should be noted that I am a walker not a runner. I get quite a bit more life out of these shoes than a runner might just because the mileage isn't as high impact as a runner's mileage.

I'm a true size 10, but these felt a little long or wide. So I got a 9.5 and they're good.

Great shoe. Comfortable as heck. I recently bought Adidas Ultraboost shoes and ran in them and they were miserable on comfort with the front cushioning feeling especially lousy. So I gave those hipper shoes to my son. I grabbed a pair of these Brooks Glycerins from Zappos and they were perfect. Great fit, great impact cushion, light on my feet. Outstanding! Brooks are not the best styled shoe compared to Nike and Adidas but they are the most functional running shoe I have been in!
