these shoes look excellent, stylish and well made. Look excellent with jeans and khakis. Definitely these are not for hiking. However, these have some construction flaws. There is a seam that runs inside the shoe that causes blisters at the back of your heels. There is almost no padding and the seam creates a little bulge that irritates your heels. after 2-3 hours of having these shoes on, even with thick socks, you start feeling pain. I had to apply a leather patch with some padding. Now these shoes feel great and I enjoy wearing them.

I've only worn these once, so for durability and longevity purposes I can't really speak to that. BUT, I will say a few things in the interim. Fit wise, they fit great. I'm usually a 10.5 to 11, bought a 10.5 and they fit great. Snug but not overly tight. I also LOVE how they feel broken in, even though they're new. Obviously there will be a bit more breaking in to come, but they felt great on a one mile trek through town. As some reviewers on other sites have said, the sole cushioning is lacking a bit. Not as thick as I might have hoped for. Not sure if they were going for a minimalist feel or not, but the foot bed could have been a bit thicker in my opinion. But again, it wasn't a big deal on my first walk with them. A new insole would help that if your worried about support. For durabilities sake, they do feel like well built boots. The materials feel tough, the build solid and It seems these will stand the test of time. But like I said, I just got them so can't actually prove the durability or not. We'll have to see. Overall, they look and feel great. I've been trying to find a touch, waterproof pair of boots that weren't huge and chunky. These fit the bill. Minimalist styling, slimmer profile and comfy. Hoping they last a long time.

My son loved these. He is an outdoors guy, but these shoes also look nice for casual dress. They look and fit great!

These shoes arrived scuffed. I didn't even try them on. Bad quality. Returned. Don't waste your time or money.

I was disappointed in the style, quality and fit. The same size shoe, in a different color, fit differently. The shoe was not comfortable with pressure points from the seems inside the shoe. The Forsake shoe is definitely narrow--and I have a narrow foot. Sorry for the negative review but this shoe won't work for me.

Solid Construction and Style make it a winner. I was really impressed with how comfortable it is.

Fits snug, but that is the feel of total support, from the balls of your feet to the heels. Great protection of the toes from stubbing on hard granite rock.

Purchased these for my husband who wanted a boot-shoe that looked smart and not too outdoorsy. These fit the bill and he reports that they are very comfortable.

I wear a size 13 and these feel a half size large. Was going to return but 12.5 was out of stock. I have worn them though with thicker socks and laced up tight and they are comfortable. I would rather them be a little big than a little small. Love the look and style.

Lady with wide feet here. Tried some women's Forsakes a while back and they were too narrow, so I have been eyeing the Phils for a while. Ordered a 9 in the brown color, and they were comfy, but a little too big, so I tried the gray in 8.5 and there was a crazy discrepancy in the size. I could barely even get my feet into the 8.5s. Not sure if it was from a new batch made in a different place, or what. I'm going to try the 8.5s in brown and hope they fit! I'd say if you're a guy with any kind of wide foot these are going to be too narrow for you - probably a true to slightly narrow D width.

Thought they were going to be too narrow when I first put them on. After a full day wearing them in the house they stretched out and by the end of the first week they felt great. 4 stars because on the right shoe the last peeled off of the upper. I glued it back myself but I don't expect to have to fix a $150 shoe in the first month.

I first saw these shoes while browsing a social media app. I decided to search for them on Zappos because of their easy return policy. There were only 2 reviews and one was quite negative. I was a bit deterred and hesitated to buy them, but then I figured I could just return them if they were really that bad. I got them today and and have been wearing them inside the office for a few hours. Like the one negative review said, they are bit narrow and there is an inner seam that can be felt at the widest part of the foot. The arch support is good. Having worn them for half a day they feel better and most leather shoes stretch out a bit with normal wear. I mainly wanted these shoes for the style, design and price. I like that they have a durable inner lining and a moderate tread on the sole. Now that these shoes have loosened up a bit on my feet I feel confident that I made a good buy.

Fit runs extremely narrow. I should have trusted the previous reviews, but I tried them anyway. My foot is average width and slightly over a size 10 1/2. I ordered size 11, which I have never had trouble with. My toes were hitting the end of the shoes and they were so tight they actually hurt. I returned for a size 11 1/2, which corrected the length but still so tight I couldn't wear them. Its too bad because I really like the look of them.

Pleased with how the boot looks and constructed but it is painfully tight at the ball of the foot. I had to remove for relief during a short walk. When trying them on the next day there feels to be a metal stud digging in to the top of the foot. Length is fine. If there was a wider option I would buy that as it is I must return them.

I loved the style of the boot and really wanted to keep them, but if you have a high instep these will not fit at all. Boots are also really narrow. Had to return them despite the great look..

I liked the shoes but after wearing them for a month, I started to develop foot pain. The shoes are made decently, but the cushioning is poor. I even tried separate aftermarket inserts and still the pain continued. The pain ceases when wearing other shoes (including another set of Forsake's that I have).

Far too stiff for me. The crease above the toe was painful. I also did not care for the look of the sole. Neither did my wife. And, of course, I want to look stylish for her.

Thought I would disregard this reviews about this being a narrow shoe due to my narrow, high arch foot. Well I was wrong, this shoe is very narrow, and was to a point I had to return it.

This Forsake brand shoe is very narrow for a medium width. I've had to stop wearing it, and I plan on returning them. LLB presented 2 styles of Forsake shoes: the Forsake Mason, which is fantastic - comfy and a perfect fit; and 2nd shoe, the Phil, a disappointment. I won't forsake "Forsake" though, and give them another try.
