I ordered the wide, but the toe box seemed small; I have to send them back, and I guess I need extra wide, due to a bunion. Otherwise, they looked like a nice shoe.

Fit was fine. Felt like far less arch support than other New Balance purchases. Quickly aggravated my plantar fasciitis.

Loose in the Heel. Not a secure fit. Will return for a refund.

I wear M width but these felt tight. I wear an 11.5 and my big toes touched the front of these shoes.
I'd also recommend:
saucony running shoes...narrow (snug) at the heel and wide at the front of the shoe. comfortable

Shoe fit and was not tight. Room in the toe box. I walk 5+ miles a day and these shoes held up but they did not offer support. My left knee is killing me currently. I’ve been buying quite expensive all leather shoes and decided to try these. Definitely not purchasing NB 411s again.

I purchased these shoes in the White/Mink coloring in a Wide (EE) for my husband. He can typically wear a normal width shoe with a wider toe box. Even though these were the Wide (EE) width, he could feel the shoe rubbing his toe on the side of his foot. Arch support was average at best. Also, the EE width seems to have a little more length in the toe box, in comparison to the 9.5 in the M Width, which he has tried on previously. I would not say there is enough length to size down.

Have worn this size in New Balance for years. These were too narrow at the widest part of the toe box and I couldn't keep them. Sent back.

The shoe was too tight, either from being too small, too narrow, or harder material. Toes were pinched.

These are hard as a rock, especially in the forefoot, and have absolutely no arch support. Like, they're flat as Vans inside. Also strangely small/tight for the size - they fit like 7s. I have an old pair of 411s from about 4 years ago that were the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. The first shoes I didn't need additional insoles for. I work on my feet and am prone to severe plantar fasciitis, so I'm very particular about my shoes. That version was, of course, discontinued by the time I needed a new pair. I tracked these down, hoping they'd be similar enough. I'm extremely disappointed, and have to go through the full return process before I can try a new pair, using my falling-apart old 411s in the meantime.

I was looking for a tennis shoe to play tennis in, these are sneakers and they felt a little less than supportive for what I need on the court, I think the catalogue should separate shoes out by use
I'd also recommend:
New Balance is the only tennis shoe that offer E width, but everyone is out of my size

So close. But, no WAY are these a true "4E" width. Not sure what they're basing widths on these days, but when I had my foot measured at the shoe store (an Ecco-branded store), they used the metal, sliding measurement tool. I'm a 10.5 3E. These may be wide enough, but they certainly do NOT fit true-to-size on the length. I've reordered them in 11.5 just to test this out. My right big toe was jammed against the front of the shoe. Crossing my fingers for a better fit. I find it VERY hard to find shoes when shopping in person. Usually only Ecco shoes tend to fit me, but occasionally I can get lucky with a NB model.

This product does not fit the way traditional men’s 9.5 2E have fit me in the past. Product is extremely tight on my right foot in places that it has not been before. Only good thing I can say is it’s so obvious to me that I will be able to return this product instead of thinking I’ll be able to break them in and lose the ability to return worn shoes....

Within one week of normal use, my toe tore through the upper on one shoe. The other shoe is showing signs of tearing through as well. My toenails are neat and trimmed, not enough to tear through normal shoes. This is poor quality construction.

Had a pair of 411s I got around 2017 and they were perfect - good cushioning, good arch support, the only shoes I've been able to wear without inserts. This new model of 411s are narrow and completely flat and hard inside. No cushioning, absolutely no arch support.

Beware, New Balance 411 has changed. I bought the EE width that turned out to be more narrow than a typical D width. Also the comfy padding is no longer included. I have worn 411's for .years specifically for the padding that reduced my foot pain. Time to look for another brand.

Shoe fit & style was fine, but the upper half of one shoe separated from the sole after about 6 months of light usage! The shoes were hardly used but fell apart. I contacted Zappos about the problem and they said they would send me a replacement pair. Glad to hear that Zappos wants to keep its customers happy.
