Unlike other socks, which purport to be for US 5 - 7, or even US 5 - 10, **these actually fit US 5 feet**!! Those of us with Cinderella feet have had to endure bags at the heels or toes - not with these. The material is stretchy, so the socks will fit a larger foot. Because I don't have a larger foot, however, I'm not going to make any promises. The fabric is comfortable (not scratchy) and lightweight but not "dress trouser sock/pantyhose" light. The length is a true crew length.

I now have almost every color in this sock, with some duplicates too! For me, it’s the perfect sock for my professional wardrobe when I need closed toe loafers/shooties/boots. I was so impressed with my Darn Tough brand hiking socks and decided to try this thinner version for regulating food temp/dryness in my work footwear. I was not wrong!

Quality and comfort are great. The fit is a little on the small side, so sizing up would be wise, if you're in between sizes.

I have found Darn Tough sox to be exactly that darn tough expecially compared to Smartwool which start wearing out before the end of the wool sock wearing season.

The quality and comfort of this brand is without equal. Experience has proven that these socks last a long time!

Well-made, light wool socks.

Well made sock. Thin enough to wear with dress pants to work, but still not sheer. They'll be warm on cooler days.

These will work well as winter socks for work. They're labelled as "Darn Tough Lifestyle" socks, so I don't think they're intended for hiking and such. They're fairly thin while still being opaque. I'd say they run true to size or possibly a bit small. I wear a women's 9-1/2 street shoe,10 in athletic shoes, and the size Large seems perfect in these socks.

I basically wear these every day, and I'm back to buy a couple more pairs. I wear size 7.5 to 8 in shoes, and size 7.5-9.5 fits very well. They stay put and are snug, but they never feel tight. They are fairly warm and fit easily in all my shoes. I throw them in the washer and dryer with my other clothes, and the come out fine. I've worn them dozens of days with no sign of wear yet.

Ordered Solid Basic Crew LIght and Light Hiker Micro Crew Light Cushion. Keeping these Solid Basic Crew Light but returning others. These are lighter weight and fit nicely in regular shoes. Wanted to exchange for more of this style but my size are gone. Will look later.

As with all my Darn Tough socks, I love these socks. They are thin enough that they fit in my dress shoes. They keep my feet warm and are nice and comfy. They aren't cute like all the other fun and colorful socks made by Darn Tough. But sometimes you just need a solid color sock. And now I want to get all the other solid colors.

Great feel and fit. Feet stay dry and not too warm. All day comfort. I wear these with womens Iron Ranger boots. They are perfect

I have different styles of darn tough socks and like them all for different reasons. Ive recently tried these lifestyle socks with no cushion. They may be my favorite yet especially for a workday with my work shoes. I love that the colors are solid.I also have enjoyed my lifestyle socks with the cushion. I like these better when Im wearing my sneakers and doing more walking and I love the different designs.

I got these to wear with loafers I only wear darn tough socks. Was glad they offered this basic sock There is not the perfect option for me to click because I wear my darn tough socks every day

These are fine sox but too lightweight for me. My daughter was very happy to have them.

These socks are great to wear with my Dansko shoes. I like the weight and thickness of the fabric.

I love these socks since I can wear them with my regular shoes and I still get the benefit of wool socks. They keep my feet warmer than cotton.

This style was purchased to wear with everyday work shoes with slacks. The thickness is a perfect weight with the necessary warmth needed in New England. The socks wash beautifully and air dry nicely with the nylon and merino wool combination.

First time buying these for myself. Love the color, actually has a cool feeling on my feet. Reason for 4 stars- they do seem to be narrow and a little tight on my 6. 5 wide feet. I am afraid to size up, because I dont want them too long.

Loved these for warmer days or lounging around the house! So comfy!

I prefer lightweight socks and these are perfect-the knit is precise and the fit is perfect. The website is easy to use.

I like the thickness of the sock, it makes it easy to put on shoes. I mostly walk barefoot, so I find I have to stretch the toe out with my hand before putting the sock on, otherwise it feels too tight in the toe area. They are comfy socks once I stretch the toe area. I also like knowing they will last a long time- quality made. USA made!

My new favorite (office) work socks. I love my Darn Tough for walking/hiking/skiing and am psyched to be able to bring them to the office now. Time will tell if they hold up to city commuting.
