These boots are very nice, a little clunky but I think they are just about fancy enough to wear for both work and with jeans. They're probably a little on the casual side for that but I think it'll work. They are a tad big, mostly wide. But a smaller size would definitely be too small. Color is really pretty.

These are in fact the perfect boot. Comfortable and versatile enough to wear to the office and also after hours. Classic styling that will be great for years to come. Sizing was perfect, I usually wear 7.5 and their 7.5s fit me great. I'm keeping these!

I ordered two pairs of similar short black boots--these and a pair from Naturalizer. I saw more than one customer review that said these boots felt clunky. That was not my experience at all. I love them. I wear a 9.5 medium and they fit well. I love the longer zipper pull and the little bit of accent stitching and the height of the upper. The Naturalizers looked boring in comparison, and they didn't fit as well. These look great with leggings and a dress or with pants.

This boot was just to clunky on. Bigger than I wanted it to look. So unfortunately returning.

Very comfortable and look great. I just ordered another pair in a different color!

So i think i found my favorite booties!!! These boots are so comfortable the leather is soft but not to soft. They fit my feet like a glove, I walk a lot for work between offices and these boots are amazing do not hurt my feet at all I can wear them all day everyday!

True to size, a bit stiff but they seem like they will break in and be comfortable. Slightly taller than some ankle boots I have seen. Seem to be good quality and will look great with jeans.

Finally found a perfect pair of winter/fall boots. I tried different shoes before until I found my perfect match, they are perfect with jeans, very comfortable.

I love these boots! They are sleek and civilized - reminiscent of a roper boot, only less roper..ish. They aren't so sleek as to feel silly - I am tall and stocky, and skinny boots look stupid on me, but these look great, feel great. (I don't find them "clunky," as another reviewer described.) A NOTE ABOUT THE FIT!! I seem to be a perfect shoe size 41, and that almost always translates to a U.S. 10 (it depends on the manufacturer, but it's almost always 10=41). In this style, however, the 10 is a 40, and it was just a little too small and a little too snug. I held onto the 10s, but ordered the 11s to compare, not knowing if it was just a problem with the overall cut, or the sizing. So as you might guess, in this style 11=41, and they are PERFECT, right out of the box. I wore them all day the first day, no blisters, no break-in period. So if you are a between sizes person, I'd say, order UP. Also, the color (Brindle) was beautiful - dark enough to go with any black, any brown - I'd go from daytime with jeans on into evening. And the price was right, especially as compared to the Fryes I'm STILL trying to stretch and break in after 6 weeks!! The Fryes will NOT be going to Eastern Europe with me, but Franco Sarto will! I had never heard of the brand before, but I am very happy, now that I understand their sizing.

I love these boots! I had to return my first pair because the small beading that sits along the welt came unglued, but I returned them and ordered a second pair in the same size. They fit just a bit snugly at the widest part of the foot, but the leather will stretch a bit, I think, and give me the little bit of room I need. The brown color is beautiful, and they will look well even as they become a bit more worn.

I ordered two sizes 6 and 6 1/2, length wise even the 6 would have been good, but these shoes are not meant for wide feet or feet that would be affected by snug fit--not good for foot problems. If you have healthy feet, you may wait until the shoe stretches, but podiatrists do not recommend this. So sad to return these; they're so nice looking and have a perfect height heel.

I returned because the material was too stiff therefore they were uncomfortable against my shins.

I am typically a 7.5 and I ordered a 7.5. They fit well, however I thought the shaft of the boot was going to be a bit wider. I hate when the shaft of the boot makes your jeans bunch up cuz they’re too tight.

Fell apart quickly. I did not notice the poorly glued beads around the entire lip of the shoe. Broke after I wore them 3 times. I glued back in one area and they broke in others. Paid a good amount of money for something that now after 5 times of wearing beads broke off throughout on both shoes which look trashy. Don’t buy this product, you’ll regret it like me. Very disappointing!
