These are high rise jeans, not midrise as described. The rise was 11 in (on a size 12), and unfortunately I have a short torso and can't wear high rise jeans. I'm disappointed, as I really liked the fit in other areas and the feel of the denim.

These jeans were not the product that was advertised and described in the online listing. Listing says they are a "mid-rise" and that the front rise is 9 inches and back rise is 13 inches. When I recieved them and put them on, it was clear that they are a "high rise" style. The waistband was almost touching the bottom of my bra! When I meausred - sure enough - the front rise is 11+ inches and the back rise is 15+ inches. Not sure why the fashion industry cannot make a variety of products but I won't ever wear a high rise jean so these are going back.

I can see the style in these, but the bottoms were just too big for me. And about 4 inches too long, even with heels. There's also a kind of weird bagginess around the calf area. Great for some, not for me!
