I first ordered this shoe in a size 9 which is the size I always wear from Merrell. I was surprised that it was short, bumping my toes. I returned and got a 9.5. I really wanted to love this shoe. But in a 9.5, felt oddly too big..also felt hard on the inside. I compared to my 2 other Merrells (higher priced) and noticed the Yokota 2 does not have lining in it like other Merrells. Might account for the lower price. I have thin feet, not much padding, so these just didn't work. On the plus side, love the granite color and the styling and they do seem to have good alignment, heel support. Unfortunately, I must return these.

Wow, these seem about 1 1/2 sizes too small! They would be real toe-nail bruisers if you wore them to actually, maybe, walk in. The heel area inside also feels quite a bit higher than the rest of the shoe. Not my thing, but might work for some folks.

As other reviews mentioned, my size is an 8 but my toes were touching too much for my comfort with those. I ordered 8 1/2 and that felt better. Slightly wider than I would normally wear but the stretchy laces and loops gather around my foot tightly, plus I wear a thicker sock hiking anyway so that helped too!

This pair of Yokota 2, size 9.5 shoes runs very short for me, and I need to order one half size larger. I hope they'll fit. I bought another color of the Yokota 2 shoes earlier - in my normal size 9.5, and they did fit. I have been buying Merrells size 9.5 for nearly a decade, and never had trouble with the length; but with the Yokota 2, it's different. If I did not like the support these shoes provide, I would not try so hard to get them in the right size.

Bought these for my daughter. She wears a ladies size 8 and required a size 9 to be comfortable. These are her first “real” hiking shoes and she was pleased with her ability to have better traction while crossing small streams over slippery rocks. Visually she commented on the style and thought they were attractive. Impressive response from a 15 year old, especially when you freelance on the purchase.?

I read reviews on Zappos and on Merrell and people complained that this shoe felt short and to order a size up, which I did and they are too long and felt wide. I do feel in terms of style that merrel is using the same old colors (purple, pink, and shades of blue) for womens shoes, it is uninspiring. How about alternatives like orange, green, etc? I have a very old merrell siren sport that was mostly gray swede with navy and Chartreuse/lime color. Loved them and wore them for 8 years. Sadly I purchased that same style a few years back and they were horrible and I threw them out, waste of money.

Love these, but in my opinion they run really small. I ordered my usual size for these types of shoes, then a half size up, then finally a full size up. (So happy for the free returns!)

This was much shorter and wider than the Siren Edge. I will return the 8M for an 8.5M and it should be perfect

I have to agree with other reviewers who commented on them being a half size too small and even maybe narrow. REALLY unfortunate because they were exactly the kind of shoe I was looking for. Such a bummer.... The arch in the left foot was oddly in the wrong place... My star ratings are theoretical on overall and comfort since they didn't fit!!

Always liked Merrell designs of shoe. Material used seems to be good quality. No matter what type of Merrell shoe i try can not find a good fit. Either to small or to large. Can not find a True size 10

Tried these on in a local store and my normal size 10 toe was too close to the front of the shoe. Ordered a half size larger and love them. Super Comfortable and didn't really need breaking in.

fits great right out of the box... I walk on gravel all day and these hold up reasonably well. last about a year.
